Good afternoon - Well the normal 3 1/2 to 4 hour drive to the Catskill region of New York took a bit longer today due to traffic and road construction - welcome to Summer ! ! ! That and the temperature is to the the high nineties later today .

Test n Tune is to start at 3 pm and this racer plans on sitting it out .I'll try and sneak around later for some dirt but I'm sure there will be no record shattering performances .Later .......

Welcome to the other side of the river Jack, glad you made the trip.

Keep in mind that at some point this weekend there will be a weather change, could be some wind etc. The locals at the valley often say that a head wind is the norm, if it turns into a tail wind, take down your canopy and awning and take cover.

We're a couple of hours into the test n tune and its going as expected - temp in the mid-90's - humid and not much starting line .Eighty-seven cars signed up but not many are showing up in the lanes - they just called Alcohol - that should be interesting ............

OK - you want dirt -- here it is .........Our very own Stock and SuperStock ace 'Lil Joey Santangelo just made a pass in Vinny Barone's Comp Street Roadster and is I'm told slated to drive it this weekend and next .

Good morning - During the night we were greeted by some pretty hard rain but only for a short period .Enough to make everything very wet but not enough to hold things up much .At this moment its still overcast but the outlook is good for the day .Warming up some and of coarse plenty of humidity in the air .Temp - 71 degrees - 73% humidity - .51 vapor pressure - barometer a whopping 29.12 ---- 82 grains of water ...DA around 2500 already..its gonna be extra slow out there today .

Things are to get going at 8:30 starting off with Stock .........

I'll be back in a bit after I see what the track looks like .

Stock got their first hit and a great many were surprized - they hooked ! ! But don't get too excited as with a 3550 DA no one went fast this morning ........

SuperStock out in about an hour ....

I'll post results as they become available .

To size it up - most I spoke with were .20 slower than Saturday at Englishtown and went slower than at the Numedia race .

Stock just had their second pass with S/S coming up soon - at the top of the pack in Stock so far is Woody Pagono in his ageless B/SA '70 Nova .

Its getting dark again - almost scary .Most classes got their two hits - waiting for clean-ups .SuperStock sheets not out yet but I'll post 'em when their available .

Sorry for being MIA. I had some issues with the race car that has been keeping me busy. The first picture is our very own Ed Fernandez's American Graffiti AMC. Looks like Ed really step up on the support equipment, just kidding Ed, looks like it has a good home now.

The rest are just random shots of stock in the lanes. I have two in car cams coming later.

This in car cam is Thomas Fletcher with his K/SA wagon. Its not as fast as his super stocker was, but he tells me its a blast to drive.

Here are some random shots of Super Stock. We also have an in car cam of James Antonette in his 98 CS/SS Grand Am. Sorry for the poor quality in car cams, but I have been doing lots of running around for my race car and did not have the time to set the cam up properly.

I would like to thank Dean Cook and Dean Cook Sr for there help. I broke a rocker on the second pass and had no spares. Being the only 428 guy in the house I new I was done. Dean got me in touch with Don Moulton who contacted his uncle Bob Moulton. Bob had the parts, drop them off to Dean Sr, he was coming late to the track, so it worked out great. A special thanks to Bob Moulton who drove out of his way to get the parts to Dean, thanks Bob, I don't how to repay you.

Anyway, thanks guys and maybe I can get some better shots for tomorrow.

Jack is having trouble with the his internet connection. Stock and Super Stock are done with the 3 qualifying run. First round for stock should be in about an hour. Most everyone picked up from yesterday. I would say it was 7 to 8 better on the average. Its pleasant today about 80 with a light breeze. The DA was around 2600 to 2800 with a low bar 29.20.

I'm sure Jack will be back later with more info and photos.

Little bit of a fire drill this morning when officials announced right before Stock ran that the ladder was to be changed - most scrambled to find out who they had to race - in the end it all worked out buy many ended up racing someone else than originally thought .

Yesterday was certainly hot and humid like I've not seen in awhile and both racers and fans did everything they could to " keep their cool " - some tried fans and some just stayed in their motorhomes with the Air Conditioning on the chip -- they drank water - soda and even adult beverages but nothing helped .Well , almost nothing as one racer found the answer - Al Mark found the creek next to the Dragstrip and you'd think he hit the lottery ..........He really does look cool and happy .........Well done Mr.Mark ! !

SuperStock finished their first round - many,many runouts because of a tailwind that snuck in unexpectedly .Would have had more photos but I got myself bounced from the starting line area - not sure why - maybe the security guy didn't like my face or something but I didn't want to get into a peeing contest with him so i left the area - funny thing is he didn't ask the people I was standing with to leave - some days its hard to be me .My guess is he's not a member here ..............

This will be much more than classic - anyone who knows the Parker brothers will tell you the gloves will be off for this battle - brother Barry who has been off for a couple of years is back bigtime and brother Gary wants to show he's never lost his touch - it'll be big block against small block - Chevelle v Corvette - brother v brother - G/SA v G/SA - this race will be worth the price of admission alone .......anyone who needs ice better get it early as these two will empty the concession stand . Hope someone gets film .........BTW --Little side note - in order to race his brother Gary had to survive a heads-up in round one with Steve McGrath with his '73 Dart .

Good morning - Today is not starting out well but in the last few minutes looking up - big fog this morning but the Sun just started burning thru ad we'll be a little late starting .A bit chilly last night as the temps dropped into the fifties .
