Re: New HP UP
Can you believe I got 7 hp. That is terrible. I am gonna get Bruce Noland to sue the bastards for that transgression. And our stick shift is up to 399 hp. I guess we gonna sue them twice. That is terrible. And then they turned down my 69 Six Pack for reduction even though the Chevys and Fords can outrun that car by 3 or 4 tenths. Where is my support for that reduction. How about a little help Greg, Andrew, Bruce for my old car. I guess it's depends who's side you are on.

Jeff, this keeps up and your gonna have to hook up the other two barrels. LOL

Re: New HP UP
Well, one 6-pack got something back! And ya know, I may not be an expert on Mopars but I'm thinkin' that with the 71 now lowered to 411, even with .026 more deck and .012 less cam at 395 the 69 looks like a deal!

Re: New HP UP
Billy...You are right on the money!!69 A12 looks very good!! Now if we could just get them to give back some "luv" to the 70 GTX 440 6 Pak!!! 417 hp is REDICULOUS!!!!!!

Re: New HP UP
Greg, I don't care about my new car. It is what it is. My 69 is about as much off as your and Andrew's cars are from my new car. Where is the compassion? Where is the help? Where is the concern for my 69? There has to be parity in this argument. Where is Bruce when you need him? It's ok for my old 69 to be just beat to crap by Chevys and Fords, but not ok for my new car. Come on guys, a little equity here.

88-89 Mustang guys sorry i was the one that went fast I didnt mean to go that fast that got it denied. I could use the horsepower off cause I can not run with the other K/SA cars out there I am still .3 - .4 behind them still. Keep writing letters to Bruce.

Re: New HP UP
Jeff there were definately other combos that should have gotten HP before yours.

Re: New HP UP
OK, I'm confused.
The 1964 426/365 combo, which I was looking at, has been adjusted from 300hp to 296hp...in the 1964 Belvedere but I have a Savoy. Does that mean the 4hp difference does not apply to the Savoy and other B body's of that year? Help JimR |
Re: New HP UP
Jim, according to the guide it affects the Savoy, Belvedere and Fury.
426 single four barrel 426/365. 300 to 296. Jim . |

Re: New HP UP
Jeff, I'am with you. The AHFS as I understand it dose not document a 7hp increase on the '09 Challenger. I have requisted an explanation from AHFS. John

Re: New HP UP
One question I have is do all qualifying runs count if you hit the trigger (if you make 3 qualifiers just the quickest? or all seperately?) Or does just the quickest one count?
I realize all eliminations runs count. As long as the runs are .35 under or better. |

Re: New HP UP
I have a question?? Why wouldnt they change all the 318 2bbl motors 68-73 that use the same carb, valve size cam etc.... The 69 motor also has more compression then the later years.

Re: New HP UP
John, the 7 hp is correct. The average was about .880 under and there was a 1.13 under run. That equals 2.25%. And as far as Wann with the six pack, he did run some good numbers. I ran 10.60s a couple of times. Trouble is at the same race the 396's ran 10.30 in the same class. Every time. I mean we are all Democrats here, so everything must be equal and alike.

Re: New HP UP
Jeff, there needs to be 2 runs of 1 seconds under to get looked at, Wade all runs were they have [class run offs] count on the average also, not just your fastest run in Qualifing, runs at open`s don`t count on average`s, only runs of 1.20 under get you hp.. Tom

Tommy, you are correct sir on the class run offs. I know what the rules say about the Open data, but it has been used for adjustments. Same as some .2xx under runs have ended up in the data and resulted in a hp reduction. The best way to approach it is as if all data will be used;) Wade |

Looks like they are loving the 1970 ROADRUNNER, but it should apply to the 1970 GTX also even though shipping weights are different and the 1970 ROADRUNNER was previously classified as a natural A car. |

But a 71 Road Runner is listed with a 115" wheelbase so it is in the same family as the Satellite. How does that make any sense? |

as far as that old car reduction goes don't feel too bad as I too was denied a 40hp reduction on the supercharged 66 Shelby combo request EVEN WITH A LETTER FROM the late mr. SHELBY NO LESS |
