Re: CC/SA at Indy
Bo, if we stay in CC/SA I believe we would have a shot but as y'all say we are trying to play with the big DAWGS!! But u never know with us Cajuns we might sneak another v10 car in.....
The real question might be, what ET do you think it will take to win CC/SA?? |
Re: CC/SA at Indy
Depending on the air; 9.65 should be good enough to win CC/SA.
|
Re: CC/SA at Indy
Hudlow can run 9.40"s in CC/SA

Mr Kenny exactly what can u run in CC/SA?? Lol |
Re: CC/SA at Indy
Joey , I dont think the 08 cobra can run that class but if I could I can run at between 9.22 and 9.30 since my car in BB/SA is 200lbs ( 3610 ) over weight right now. In CC/SA I would have to be 3675lbs or the same as FS/S for Indy.
|
Re: CC/SA at Indy
That's good to know Bo, cuz if we decided to run CC/SA then I don't have to worry about ur bad a@$ CJ!! Lol hope to see you in FS/S!!!!!!!

Don't forget about the 08 convertible, it can get to cc/sa. I say its gonna be the 427, but were still gonna be there and try like hell with our little 381 hemi@440hp. Can't wait to see all three duke it out, glad to see cheby finally make it to the show. Bring it on!

Re: CC/SA at Indy
New horse is entering the race . Patterson will have a very strong car entered . Count on it
427 fully built |
Re: CC/SA at Indy
That should make for a very intresting class!!
BO IS YOUR MOTOR READY? |
Re: CC/SA at Indy
They are working hard at Patterson Racing they will have Ford and Chevy motors trying to win class . Talked to Allen today he said he wished somebody would bring them a mopar motor to work on that way they would have the big three covered.
Joey you guys should take him one of those V10 bet they could pick it up 2 tenths , Your daddy might have to come off a little of that cajan cash he has stashed (lol) |
Re: CC/SA at Indy
Hey Bo! If they go where I think they go! Teuton will have PLENTY OF POWER FOR SURE!:D
|
Re: CC/SA at Indy
That's awesome! I hope you get ur motor in time for Indy brother!!
Trust me if he was willing I would spend my money to send one, to have a "built" motor!! If it doesn't fit in his BLUE car it's second! Lmao! Gotta love that ole man!!! I'm not sure if he's willing to jump in that deep to a viper motor. We might get one of those supercharger thingies in the next year or so! I love my ride man! I'd keep the v10 but damn with 5 cars things get tough! Lol |
Re: CC/SA at Indy
Joey , I know he is not tight just get him to give you a little beer budget money that ought to be about 35K , what's the deal !!!!!!!!!!!!
|
Re: CC/SA at Indy
Yea buddy that only about 10% of that budget...lol
The race motors budget is in a whole nother book of business! Lol |
Re: CC/SA at Indy
Looks like this class could have just got really interesting!!! Lol just saying
|
Re: CC/SA at Indy
I guess we unload the car, redistribute the weight, and go at it again. What a real joke. Change the rules today! BS

Re: CC/SA at Indy
427 copo made that 428 look like it was in slow motion! Very impressive to get on the track with that little testing and perform like they did!

Re: CC/SA at Indy
Jared, you sound like some of us when the bogus drag paks came out. Now the shoe is on the other foot? At least they didn't start out in H/SA.
I asked, when I put up the specs like you just did: On what planet should the 360" drag pak be rated the same as an LT1, which is/was already soft? My wife could look at those specs and say "No way!" It's kinda like the old saying that the first liar doesn't have a chance. Last one to the market is going to trump the earlier versions. do I think it is right? Absolutely not! I think they are all bogus. |
Re: CC/SA at Indy
Ed,
I posted something similar about the 5.9 Magnum engine vs. a 360 Volare once upon a time. At that point, the 5.9 was rated 14 HP LESS than my mom's car. My views on the new cars are the same now as they always were: I love watching them, I'd love to have one (even a COPO!), but they have no business running in the same classes as the older combo's with the HP factors out of line. I omitted the Drag Pak from my previous post only because I felt that a) I'd already typed too much and b) seems like the DP has been brought a bit closer in line factoring-wise compared to the CJ and COPO. |
Re: CC/SA at Indy
Jared, the 360" DP hp factor has not been hit in SS, where I have to live with them. Still at 275. Beyond bogus.
