Woodrow Josey needs our help
WOODROW JOSEY NEEDS OUR HELP.
Woodrow has once again had a heart attack and is not able to work. He has had quadruple by-pass surgery and has had (and this is no S***) 13 stents. Needless to say, it appears that the days of Woody, who I consider the William Tyler Jenkins of Stock Eliminator, can no longer build *** kicking small and big block Chevrolets. As a matter of fact I am in the process of advertising his current show quality Pontiac Firebird B/Stock Automatic car on this site and also Racing Junk. My bride and I decided that we would send Woody $1,000 and he received it yesterday (15 August 2012) and this was in my e-mail box this morning. QUOTE “Fred, at this point I am speechless, never had anyone do this for us and I don’t know how or when I can pay you back, maybe if my cars sells soon, then I can repay you, but until then I have no idea. Right now I am in Tears and thanks Fred,,,,,, doesn’t the lord work in special ways, my close friends hardly ever say hello or can I help in any way, and then in the back ground Jesus sends me this Check, God Bless you my Dear Friend.” I responded to Woody with, “I only do what I want to and repayment is not expected, wanted or needed.” Now I am throwing down the gauntlet with, follow my example. Last year my bride and I filed taxes on a gross income of $89K. $1,000 is more than 1% of our annual income and what the hell good is money if you cannot do good things with it. I am not asking anyone to send Woody and his family $1,000 however, I am challenging you to send what your heart directs you to. $1,000, $500, $100, $50, $10 or just buy a card. You should be able to work one of these options You kind considerations should be sent to: Woodrow Josey and family 3655 Boy Scout Road Byron, Georgia 31008 Thanking you in advance for your largesse, Frederick L. Elsass, SMSgt, USAF, Retired A great fan of Woodrow Josey |

Woodrow had a procedure done this morning at 7:30 with sedation. I do not know but would assume that it was a chemical stress test. As soon as I know anything will post.

Re: Woodrow Josey needs our help Address Correction
My Address is 3955 Boy Scout Rd, Byron, Ga 31008
I also want to say Thanks for the Cards and letters, i am not out of the woods yet but i am doing ok i guess, considering i just had a Heart Attack and there is some small damange to my Heart! I have just returned from another stay in the Hospital, this time it appeared to feel as the same thing but luckily this time, it was a bad case of Acid reflux, i guess some of the medecines triggered this, i have been very sick, throwing up off and on since the Heart Attack. No doubt i am going thru the worst time of mine and Linda's life, thank God for her being at my side, and i know it hasnt been easy, but with Gods help and recieving cards and letters from you guys, i will try my best to stay around for a while. We have a long way to go, and thanks to each and everyone of you, for your donations and best wishes, may you never have to go thru this! |

Re: Woodrow Josey needs our help
I want to take this time especially to thank (Sarge) Fred Elsass, for posting on Class Racer about my health and condition. I have truly had a bad time, first the Heart Attack with 5 day stay in the Hospital and then a week Later with complications and another 3 day stay in the Hospital. this has really brought me down, as most of you already knew, i have retired from racing but having this happen, it will force me to have to sell my equipment also, which is really given me a state of sadness and depression.
I also want to thank the many Class Racers that have sent me cards and donations, this just shows there are people in the racing world that really care and those donations will truly come in handy, believe me. And to the thousands of class racers that read the post and chose not to respond, at least i know you thought enough of me to read about my health. This is a very, very sad time for me and i pray you never have to go thru what i have been going thru for the past 8 weeks. Good luck racing and may God guide and protect you! |

Woodro, glad to see that you're back home, this proves again that we are a big family divided only by space. Take good care of you and just remember that possessions are just things that gather dust when not touch by a craftsman like yourself. Claude Ruel

Re: Woodrow Josey needs our help
My dear Class Racer Friends, i want to thank each and everyone of you that has taken the time to send me Cards, letters and Donations. These Donations have helped Linda and Myself, so much, but we are not out of the woods yet, last week another visit to the Hospital and another visit to my Family Doctor today. I think i have had about every test the Hospital can perform, i have about had my share of needles. I had the Endoscopy done last week, the Gastric Emptyness study this week, all supposedly came back Negative, i think i have had every kind of Blood Test known to Man Kind. I am sick every day and night of my life, this has been going on for 8 weeks now. So yes your cards and letters mean a lot to me, and to you that have donated, i want to thank you from the bottom of my Heart. God Bless!

Re: Woodrow Josey needs our help
To all my class racer friends, and to those that have sent me cards and donations, i want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have not recieved any mail for the past few weeks, but to the ones that have mailed me, it was really Heart warming to know i have great friends like you out there. I am still having a ruff time, feeling nausea every day and night. I have had to fire one doctor that was running test after test and some that the Hospital had already run, so it appeared he was just collecting money, especially when i was still sick after the first procedure he had done! Now, we are trying to get another Dr, and the ones that are in a group with this Dr, will not see me and they are some good ones in his group, so we have retrieved my records and sent them to another group and they have had them for 3 weeks and still no appointment with them. So, i am still a very, very sick man and thanks for your concern, thoughts and Prayers and thanks to Class Racer for posting about my condition, and beings i have not recieved any cards the past few weeks, i would assume all my close, real and true friends have all responded. Therefore i know some of you are tired of seeing my name so to the Moderator, you can remove the post after everyone has the chance to read this one, and thanks again to everyone and especially Fred Elsass and Class Racer!

Thanks for letting us know how you are doing. You know you have lots of friends who think and PRAY for you and Linda. Just keep your faith. Hardrock |
Re: Woodrow Josey needs our help
Found out why i havent heard from the second group of doctors, seems there is an agreement between doctors in Macon, they wont see another Doctors patients. In the mean time my sickness go's on, and they had my records for over 3 weeks before they tell me this. In fact i had an appointment to see my Heart Doctor and he had his nurse call them and they told her the same thing. I may have to get real ugly on this one! Dont think this crap is legal, i wouldnt want to see one of them now, i might be in worst shape than i currently am, even though, this is been going on since my Heart attack nearly 4 months ago!
