New 5-Speed Coyote Cobra Jet
 

Over the last 8 months I have been given as awesome opportunity to built a race car from the ground up. The project started as a primer green body in white Mustang and made its first two passes today at Numidia Dragway. Man...what a relief. It was an amazing feeling to have a car that I have been laboring over for all that time make a "full" pass down the track. The combo is a 2012 Cobra Jet 302 5-speed car. It's going to be an absolute blast to drive and I have posted a link to the Bongiovanni Racing Facebook page which has pictures of the car and an awesome burnout video from the first pass this afternoon. For those of you who have helped along the way, you know who you are and I can not thank you enough. Mike, the car looks awesome, congrats! Btw Sean is not a big Ford guy; however he's gonna love the stick! C u in Indy.

Facebook isn't for everybody either. I appreciate the link, but a lot of us, especially the
older guys don't bother with Facebook, so a lot of stuff thats put on there gets missed
by a considerable amount of Classracer followers. My 2 cents,,, and nice looking
Mustang too,,, love the stick cars.

Me too...I really wanted to hear that Coyote howl in the box but at 52 (next week) I guess I'm to old for FB also. Personally, I have no desire for it but why digress? Just give us the dang link and I hope the sound quality is good so I can turn it up! (I did finally change to an iMac though..so there may be hope for some of us old farts!) :p

Congratulations!!! Building a car from scratch and making a full pass has to give a feeling of ultimate fulfillment and closure.

Has to be a stick just as God intended. I wish you all the success with the car.

Well Danny boy really don't know what link you are referring to but you can keep your 2 cents with change. I just said that someone who didn't like FORDs, that they weren't for everybody. You GO ED.

Well,, JEFFY boy,,, the link I'm referring is the one in Mike's original post, that takes most, apparently not you, to a burnout video of the newly finished Mustang,, you might want to go back and check it out. As far as keeping my 2 cents,, I never called anyone out, I was only making a comment about people's use or non-use of Facebook.
I could give a rat's *** about your comment about someone liking Fords or not, as even though I owned and raced Chevys for over 40 years, I've been around many friends and acquaintences who've run Mopars and Fords and other GMs, I've enjoyed them all and have helped in many builds. Some of my all time favorite racecars were Fords,, but enough of me explaining myself to you,, you've gotten enough of my time.

Nice car Mike.. Is this the one that was shown in MM&FF ?.. Being one of the owners of a 2008 BIW CJ (still in the green E coat) I followed the article with great interest ,but missed the final assembly .. Nice to see it finished and out doing a burn out.. Congrats.

Great job Mike! I had a very small hand in assembling a Cobra Jet for the Candies Family and everytime I see it make a pass I can't believe they even let me touch it lol. Keep up the good work!
