"Live" from Bowling Green, KY Div. 3 LODRS
 

Well we should be pulling out shortly! I have had the motorhome ready since our 11:00 am goal of leaving, but of course the trailer and all the stuff that has to go is not quite loaded yet. We have never been to Bowling Green this early before, so I hope they will be open or I guess we will spend the evening in line in the road. I think I read on Facebook that Nitro Joe is there already, so maybe he can give us some updates.

Annoucement on PA Tues.nite that gates would open Thurs. morning. Yes Nitro is there but they wouldn't let him stay inside track Tues, nite, he was going somewhere to spend the nite and then get in line to get back in track. Everone seem to think they will open gates early because of back-up on entrance road.

Well it's 5:17b pm and rigs are backed up to main road .Was told that the track was rented and that we might get in afterwards. That could depend Dallas mood .

Well we are sitting out on the road about 4 or 5 rigs past where you turn to go to the amusement park. We are behind Rick Winchester and Tom Reese. Dallas just drove by counting rigs. They are lined up all the way down the road that goes in to the track all the way up to the gate. We got here about 5:20 and there are already 5 or 6 rigs behind us. Hopefully they let us in before they are lined up to the railroad tracks!

We are in and parked! Parking in the dark is a little more challenging! But we are here! We saw Redman as we came in. He has a new hairdo this weekend! I will get pics tomorrow!

Sportsmen can park anywhere except the oval. I think that is for Alcohol and Comp.

Was told it will be a24 hour gate but not forsure . We are parked near Nitro. place seems to be filling up slowly but real dark out

Well it is a beautiful and warm day here in Bowling Green. There has been a steady stream of rigs coming in all night and today. But BG is a big place and there is still plenty of parking. I got the motorhome cleaned up a little this morning, so now I am going out and see who is here.

They are testing today and teching. The gates are open 24 hours now. QuickFuel and the track are sponsoring a barbq for everyone tonight. Thanks! We will be there for sure!

Have a great race guys. I really do miss coming to BG for this meet. Business is up and running and with luck by NEXT year we can hit a few meets again. I would LOVE to see Melissa back in the SS eliminator.

Well it has been a nice easy day here in Bowling Green. Test and tune appeared to go well. Quite a few cars participated today. It was quite warm at 89, but tomorrow they are calling for 93 and that is hot! Most everyone got teched today, I assume. There have been rigs coming in all day long, but it still seems to be enough parking especially on down toward the end of the track in the grass over to the right. Racing begins at 9 in the morning with Super Street first, then Stock.

I took a few pics down at the barbque sponsored by QuickFuel and the track. Thanks everyone! Lots of good pork, beans, slaw and potato salad.

Yea, I met Tom Nolan and Tibor today. Car is very nicely done. They were getting numbers made and made a few test runs.

Also met a new racer in A/S in a new Challenger. Luke--very nice car, too.

Update from Topeka. It rained last night and still sprinkling this morning. No drying attempts on the track. The sky is very cloudy and the forecast looks like more rain to come. Good news it is in the 70s.

99 stockers first run. Lots of wrong classes up, may take a while for DRC to get it sorted out.

Paula, ya'll out to pack up and head this way. Get a run in the morning, then 1st round in the afternoon. But it is in the 90s here!

Topeka Update 2: Calling Super Street to the lanes. There is a window without rain. The plan is one hit and straight to eliminations. The sky is very cloudy and looks like rain any minute. The track dryers are working hard.

Topeka Update 3: Super Street ran and about a third of stockers qualified, I am sure I don't need to tell you, it started sprinkling. On hold again.

107 stockers went down that run. There is supposed to be a clean-up run later. Most everyone slowed about 4 that run.
