Prayers For Jim Woods
 

Jim Woods has suffered a stroke while on the road somewhere in VA. I don't know any more than that. I got a message from his phone late Tuesday night saying he had suffered a stroke while in VA and would not be at Darlington. Nothing more is known at this time. Please think of him today and if you are so inclined, lift him up in your prayers. More info as I get it. Jim

That is just awful news. Jim Woods I'd one if the nicest persons I have ever met. My prayers go out to him and Connie for his swift and complete recovery. Please keep us updated as you get information.

Yes Jim and Connie are some of the nicest and most helpful people in the sport...Certainly heartbroken when I found this out. :( Prayin' for ya Buddy!!!!!

I wish I could give you guys a update. Jim and I talked yesterday from 5 oclock to prolly 6. We was planning on meeting tomorrow so I could get Borrowed Money for Darlington. I Will give a update as soon as I here from someone. For the time being I will be praying for Jim.

Oh my goodness. We are just shocked and so very saddened by this news! Jim Wahl, please check your PM, we are here to do whatever we can for Jim and Connie. And we are also available to help in any way/answer any questions we can (we have way too much very INTIMATE knowledge on this subject unfortunately).

They are at the top of our prayer list. Jim will recover, I have no doubt. With Connie's help and devotion, they will successfully overcome! Go Team Woods!

OK, I have talked to Connie. Jim has suffered a second stroke and is being transported back from VA to Ohio to a specialist. He has a blockage of the carotid artery. He can not fly due to his condition. Jim can not talk or walk. He is in stable condition. His vital signs are good. If you have his phone number, he can not answer the phone but you can leave a message. Connie says he will be home about 2 pm on Thursday. She promised to keep me updated. I will post whenever I receive more info. Jim

I just heard about Jim and as most have said, Jim and Connie are some of the finest folks in the racing community. All of us at God Speed Ministry will be covering them with our prayers.
Does anyone know where Jim and Connie are right now?

I'm praying for you Jim. You were one of my first friends in Stock. I remember in Norwalk taking the tour of the IHRA offices in the late 1990s. You went with us in our 1973 RV with the "orange sea shell" counter top to downtown Norwalk! Hang in there and know that you have friends all over the drag race world.
