LIVE from IHRA Div 2 Darlington
 

Good crowd, I was 213 in the gate around sundown. Saw a number of people testing, Brian Oakes, Art Leong, Jim Wahl, in addition to many of regulars. Myron thinks Artie did teardown, so we should see some good records. Hot and humid on tap for the weekend.

No testing for me, as it was 10hrs longer to get here than usual. ;-) Had a short delay as a coil pack went bad on the truck. Left my metric box up north reying to travel lighter but luckily had a 10mm swivel socket in my reg box, perfect for getting at #5 cylinder. Still need to change the spark plug. Seems to have killed it. Changed oil in the Volare with a new K&N oil filter, and some fresh CAM2 Blue Blood 0W30. New lettering on yesterday.

It is 102 degrees right now and 3990 DA. I saw several people melt into the pavement in the staging lanes! It IS HOT! Jim:eek:

See, Jim thought we were doing him a FAVOR when we said "you can park on the asphalt." ;) In the shade on the grass, I've got 94 degrees, 3276' DA, and .90 vapor pressure. Wicked.

316 cars total went down the track first session.

Sounds like a normal Div 4 race. Actually, 3200' is pretty good around here. LOL

I should have known better than to think Beard would save me a real nice parking spot, and then say " oh no, you go ahead, there isnt enough room for both of us, I'll just go park in the grass." I'm parked in the middle of HELL! But did manage to get past round one! Jim

While DRC can't be here this weekend, they will get the files after each race and post results. Thank you to Larry Sullivan and the whole Summit/DRC crew. Saturday's complete results have been posted.

Congrats to Brandon Peterson taking a big win in Super Stock over Joel Warren, despite being under the weather. In Stock, BJ Bianchi repeated his clutch win from last year, putting away the Div 2 championship again. Missy Phillips continued her strong season with the runner-up.

Three ways to do it, Kenney =

Save the pictures to a .jpg format and upload as an attachment directly to the 'board (they'll have to be re-sized to meet the upload criteria), or..

Save the pictures to a webhost like Photobucket and copy the URL to the upload console below. You can get a larger picture display that way. Or..

Start an album in the Photo Gallery so they'll have a more permanent presence here on ClassRacer.

Either way, looking forward to seeing your son's pictures!

Finally uploaded the pics to an album. For some reason, my Stock pics messed up and couldn't upload. I did get a few SS leaving the line. Next time will be better.
