Racers Need Help

If anyone knows of a diesel mechanic or service please help. Steve Wann , Chad Loge, and Mark are stuck on the side of the highway by the Illinois, Indiana border.
Please give them a call @ Steve (209)602-4351 or Chad (925) 584-7566

Thank you as they are stranded at the moment.

Re: Racers Need Help

Scott, Monte Howard lives around there close. He is in Indy. Find him and he may be able to help you.

Dave Walther or Donnie Beeler. If they can't help, they know who can.

Re: Racers Need Help

I called Steve right after Scott posted and he was thinking of getting a tow back to Indy at a shop where he knows things will be safe. He felt that he had an issue with a piston and the motor was going south. I hope we may get some more info soon though.

Thank you to all, They have gotten a lot of help. I'll keep you posted but it does not sound good. Thanks again to all who called and offered assistance. Racers are the best.

Scott, Thanks for the update, I can't imagine what I would do in their situation. Hope they can get back to CA without any more issues. We are glad they could come and give a great show at Indy.

Re: Racers Need Help

I called em and offered all the help I could give from 1,300 miles away....I also offered help from my relatives in Western Iowa... (I am sure they don't mind)... These guys are as good a people (is that a correct phrase?) as you can find. And the Drag Racing community is the greatest to help out someone that needs help. Isn't it amazing the network we have???

Sorry guys just saw this. I live 20 - 25 miles from there and have a friend that is a good diesel mechanic if you need.
You can take it to my house and I am sure he would help you out.
sska31@gmail.com if you need me.

Sorry guys, but I just can't help myself and the "Farmers Daughters jokes"... Here are 3 California guys broke down on the side of the road in Farm country......Imagine Mark walking to the closest farm house (I adore Mark), Mark says " we broke down and need a place to sleep"..... The farmer says "OK, but you can"t sleep with my daughter........you get the drift.....Mark, I love you brother, but I am not sure you can communicate with the midwesterners .....I am not worried about Steve and Chad....."They look normal"

The farmer would think he was just Amish, and would be looking for the broken horse carriage. :)

Chad, Steve and Mark are in Indiana and have had the truck towed to a local KW dealer. They are headed out to the track at this point.

Thank you again..

Just send dad Mike Loge back there with his open 4 car hauler to pick up
the race cars and bring everything back home.
