Last COPO at SEMA
 

So Cheby builts the last COPO # 69 takes it to SEMA the on to Barrett Jackson as the last COPO BUILT in 2012 look at the article on Speed TV now here is the problem it is far from the last form my sources they have not built at least 35 % of the total 69 so the serial # may show it is th 69th but it is not the LAST COPO BUILT

Serial # does not defined build sequence

We were #5 serial number but first delivered

I agree so what - as long as there are a limited number produced -- most will not be raced

Like the V10 - 40 to 60 built (not sure) --- only 7 or 8 have been raced so far

X2. We were lucky up here but our racing friends to the south got hit hard & have a lot of cleanup and rebuilding work to do. Worried about a COPO? Stop and think about those two neighborhoods (the one in NYC and the one in NJ) that were wiped out.

we are at SEMA, and commented to the family that I thought the COPO cars came with Goodyears, but all of them I have seen here have Hoosiers on them. Pattersons Husky car, the Vassar car, the convertible in the Chevy booth (it looks weird), and the serial no. 1 car coming out of the crate in the outdoor Chevy booth. I must have dreaming they came with Goodyears??????

Little known fact - they did the same thing with battleships!

The USS Wisconsin (BB-64) was launched before her sister the USS Missouri (BB-63).

Actually I thought it was good question myself...I thought that Chevy was very strict on who received one of these, as were other companies that built factory drag cars, but you still see some advertised for sale or heading to an auction somewhere's...and he does raise a good point as for the missing up of Copo Camaro's numbers coming out of the plant, and yeah they did do that in the past with other makes as well, but to claim it's the last one built then take to an auction to sell it and probably get a ton of money for it, well you see my point...

Yeah, they should have said # 69 is the last sequential number car...not the last one built.

I'm here on Long Island. I am fine. got power last night by Houston Texas crew working their tails off. I am thankful.
I am also glad to read about cars again, enjoy it, we need a little diversion. I did well in storm, but friends, a few lost everything. Long Island is a mess.
