Maybe he didn't follow the playbook? Always hard to detect what goes on behind the scenes...Massey obviously a good driver but then so is Dixon who's been sitting. It's all about $$$$ and egos which is why I don't even watch the fuel cars, zip right through the DVR to the next round of PS.

Think Yellow Bullet needs a moderator like Ken for a while, way too many ignorant keyboard jocks for my taste...guess you'll be able to tell a lot if another team picks Massey up. Personally, it took me a few years to halfway like Dixon after his profanity when he won his first Nationals so guess I'm pretty staid.

The only thing that ticked me off is on the TV coverage it was all about the Funny car body flying off,replayed at least 12 times then I had to watch some cry baby get his hands bandaged(then small band aids put on his hands so he could pick the trophy up)BUT then they don't show pro stock through the burn out stages etc like the fuel turds.I miss Steve Evans and the good old days.

I'll respectfully disagree with the second sentence of this statement. Personally I'm glad Antron won the championship. To say Schumacher was greedy in trying to win the race and the championship I feel is unfair and possibly disrepectful. It's the nature of the sport and the absolute foundation of fair competition to do your honest best to win.....anything less could be considered throwing a race. If Schumacher had won, well "that's racing" as the saying goes. My hat's off to both drivers for doing their best to win.

I'm reasonably sure there are some who would immediately accuse Schumacher of throwing the race for Antron if he hadn't given his all. Geeze.

I've always thought that as a goodwill ambassador and role-model for "MY" Army, Tony Schumacher has done an outstanding job. His use of the nickname "Sarge" and having Sergeant's stripes on his race car never bothered me at all, because I know how much he's done for the U.S. Army, and they were conferred on him by someone with a lot more rank than I ever had. It might be a different story if he asked everyone to call him Sergeant Schumacher, which he never has. And there are at least a few Soldiers who I made sure understood that you don't call a Sergeant of any rank "Sarge"!:D

ok guys and gals.not trying to get in a pissing contest,but spencer massey did pay his dues.he started in juniors then moved to super comp.he worked on Gene Snows A fuel car.then drove for Gene.Since he started in top fuel he has been on the starting line watching sportsman racing at every national event.after hours he is visiting spotsman racers in the pits.my 2 cents.Dwight Allen

A source most of us know confirmed that Massey brought his own cooler to the banquet and got drunk then made a nasty slur about Antron which cleared the rest of his crew away from the table before Massey went storming out himself.

He had to know there'd be repercussions.

It was a career killed i'd think. They can plug any monkey into the seat but they need to interact with the team and sponsors.

Has any Sportsman driver even acted up like that and the banquet and got tossed?

When we ran IHRA Spencer Massey was just a good old boy from texas who love to race and could drive his ***** off . He paid his dues and made it to the big time show in NHRA. Every body messes up sometime , give him a break and forget about it .

He is young and is learning a life lesson. Who here has never made a mistake ? And who here really know what happened ? My guess is none of us.

Lets show him who we really are and argue over bogus horsepower or who has the fastest O stocker . We will show him how perfect we are and how bad he is
