If You Could Drive 1 SS Car?
 

If you could drive one Super Stock car of any make, any era, just for fantasy, what would it be? If ya drive one now, exclude it. It would be easy for me to say one of the SS/AA cars from past and today. But there is something about that ride that Butch Leal had in the 70s, I would love to bang the gears in a SS/B Coronet or something similar.

Da Grumps early 72 Vega with the 4 speed (Non Lenco). I know its not a S/S car but it has to be cool. Other than that it would have to be Hayden Proffits SS/S1962 409 Chev or the OLD RELIABLE Z-11 for me. To many choices !

I was an extremely lucky 20 year old and got some Hemi experience.

I'm going to go with Scott Gove's SS/AM Daytona. 10,000 RPM and a 5-speed. Yes please!

Abe Loewens Chevy 11 when it was a stick car. Really, who wouldn't? Imagine leaving at 15000 rpm (well it sure sounded like that) side stepping the clutch and pulling gears at the same rpm. On the bumper every time and wheels up every gear. Didn't matter where you were at the track you always knew when he was staging and leaving. That car had an unmistakable sound and loud! And! It was a bench seat!
