Beech Bend Raceway SS/S Combo
 

The 2013 SS/S Combo dates have been set! A total of eight races plus the Nitroplate $5k Combo race during the SportsNationals. We have also set up a webpage on Beech Bend's website for SS/S news and events. I plan on posting the results as well as qualifying sheets from each event on this page.

Awesome. For those of you who haven't raced at these races you are missing the boat. We usually have 50-60 cars and the quality of the race cars and the drivers is outstanding. Qualifying, laddered, and heads up races, plus one of the very best race tracks in the country.

Definitely have the $5k race on my list. Its a shame that Division 2 put the double points race in Atlanta on the same weekend, but the shot at $5k beats four days in Commerce, GA any day of the week.

Hats off to the fine folks at Beech Bend. We are very fortunate to have such a well organized combo series at this premier facility. The two day combos are especially nice.

Thanks also for working with us to make the NitroPlate $5000 combo possible. It has been a huge success the last two years and we're looking forward to another great turn out in 2013. If you haven't been to Beech Bend I highly recommend bringing the family to the national open and $5K combo. The amusement and water parks adjoin the race track so it makes a tremendous family weekend getaway.

Hats off to you as well, Kevin. Nitro Plate stepping up to the plate to make these Combo races possible. Alan come on down to Beech Bend on the Sat before the April Sunday combo, you can do a little testing on the 1/4 mile and also get the cobwebs out of the driver too. J. Gower stock 3058

Thank you all for the kind words and continued support of this series. We have been very fortunate to have such a great following in the SS/S community at Beech Bend Raceway.

And none of it would have been possible without great sponsors. Kevin with Nitroplate has been a great sponsor and supporter over the last few years and made the $5k Nitroplate Shootout possible. If you haven't made it to this race I encourage you to give it a try(I may be a little biased), but seriously this is a really cool event that runs into Saturday Night of the SPORTSnational Open.

Marvin and the gang out at QuickFuel Technologies have also been a great supporter of SS/S racing at Beech Bend as a class sponsor of this series and a title sponsor for the SPORTSnational Open over the last few years.

And as Jimmy Gower said there will be a test & tune the Saturday before the April 21st race. As always anyone is welcome to test on Saturday and camp/park for free at the track on Saturday night.

You should ask Ken if you can post qualifying, results, and pictures in the events section of the board, if you have time.

I hope to get my pure stocker converted or pick up about .05,so I can make some of the combos and spotrsnationals and aug race.

It's been pretty fun to go watch there a couple of times recently. I hope to compete this summer as well with some of Dads old scratch and dent pieces. Won't be fast, but should have fun with the family.

You don't have to be a current NHRA member but we do require you to run a legal NHRA stock or super stock class and weight and NHRA index. As well as complying to nhra safety rules. Hope this answers your question.
