Re: Congrats Kayla Mozeris!
Thank you all for your kind words and positive feedback!!! It is greatly appreciated. That day was a roller coaster of emotions from start to finish, but in the end it turned out to be the best 24 hours I've ever experienced in my life. I'm beyond excited that we were finally able to get our first national event win!!
As much of an individual sport this can be, this truly was a team effort. It's the people you are surrounded by and get to share the moment with that really makes it special and worthwhile. There have been so many people involved who have both helped and supported me throughout the years and this wouldn't have been possible without them: my car owner Jim Hughes for the opportunity he has given me, my mom and sisters, my crew guys Uncle Dave-Uncle Fuji- and Seth Polvadore, Greg Boutte, Keith Downing, Rick Watters-Tibor-and Gary Hettler @ RWR, Hughes Performance, Total Seal, A1 Vans, Arizona Fire Protection, and everyone who treated me to and took part in making the victory celebration memorable and fun. Above all else, thanks to my dad Joe Mozeris for all of his love and support. |

Great Job Kayla, and now sitting No. 3 in Stock National Points too? To borrow from "The Miz", you're AWESOME!!!! :)

Re: Congrats Kayla Mozeris!
Now that I had a chance to see how you won that race, I multiply the AWESOME comment even more. Tibor's a tough racer, and for you to strap a .03+ rt advantage over him, and hold off his hard charging T-bolt by a tire, was truly awesome! I digress that I didn't get to tape (yes I still have the VHS thing going on...if it isn't broke, don't replace it!), the other finals, but I feel I taped the best one! I hope you partied hearty, and you and your families travels back here to Az, were so good that now you added some more races to your schedule...after all, you're No. 3 in national points after that race, and are looking really good for giving the other points chasers a serious run for No. 1!!!
GO GET 'EM KAYLA!!!! :) |

Thank you for your recognition and heartfelt applause towards our win! I appreciate yours and others enthusiasm towards this hard earned and long fought battle we know as trying to win an NHRA National event. This by all means was no overnight success, as 2013 marks my 6th year competing in Stock. This win represents years and years of gaining experience through Jr. racing, bracket racing whenever time permits, studying every round won and lost, studying other competitors, asking what I did wrong or right and how I can improve, focus and dedication, and most importantly lots of practice-practice-practice. It is a good feeling in knowing that this community is filled with genuine people who recognize others work and talent and that they outweigh the negative nature of the few who create false accusations and claims towards ones accomplishment in order to make themselves feel better. Thank you for your kind words, Mr. Hampton. You are a stand up gentleman. (PS: To answer your question, thanks to some fellow stock/super stock racers I was treated to the best victory celebration imaginable! There’s no better place to get your first win than in a place like Las Vegas!!) |
