2012 COPOs (& '13s)

Out of that first batch of cars, how many do you know of, that are actually being raced?
Can we start a list of names

(i think i've seen more show up for sale than are actually being raced)

Good Luck Brett. I can't wait to see that car! Just wondering, why no one has the blown 327?

My 427 car, #53, is currently at Ron Hutter's shop for a little "preparation". Next stop is Thompson Dragway weather permitting. See you all soon.

Jimmy Vassar bought all three engine combos, but I think it started with the 2.9L blower combo. Only one I have seen with one racing.

Based on what Ford put out there with the 5.0 / 2.9L combo for about the same price and much easier to get, I don't think we will see many more soon unless GM changes things. Considering what Holbrook, etc. have run, the SCJ's are wicked fast.

How many Fords are being raced relative to how many have been built?
Dodge's?

One of my local Ford dealers has had a CJ for about 8 or 9 months now. They are asking a fortune for it.

There are two of the 327's with the small blower that are going to be raced in division three this year.

Fun day. I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time with the COPO.

There was a kid driving one at Cordova yesterday. He was getting his license. BB/SA. It was white with Blue stripes and had "Karl Chevrolet" on the Door. I wish I could remember his name. He had a NA big motor in it.

I got a chance to look Clay's car over yesterday and it is a very nice car. It still has all the factory stuff including computer, power glide. The thing that struck me was how big the throttle body is and how big the blower is.

I saw the show Daren... Very Cool.

I'm curious, if you were going to order one of the new versions, would you go with

the 350"

the 396"

or last years carry over 427"?

That's a tough call! Probably the 396.

Thanks for the compliment Greg! We knew a lot of things that we could do right away to pick it up but like any good engineering exercise you need an A first to see where B gets you. The throttle body is 109mm but the blower is small in supercharger world! :)
