No Problem Accident
If everyone would keep Jo Jo Dupre in their prayers it would be appreciated. Jo Jo is a super pro racer, and a part of P. J. St. Pierre's team and a real friend of the Southland Dodge team. There was a bad fire and collision. Jo Jo is in the Baton Rouge burn center and has severe burns to hands, face, and other parts. The full fire suit was on, and probably helped, but a lot of it burned off. Jo Jo was one of the semi finalist in the Pinks All Out series when last at No Problem. Cause is still unknown at this time. Car appeared to be going straight at the time. Thanks everyone.

Re: No Problem Accident
Jeff
I saw over on the facebook site that they are needing a bunch of people to give blood. Is there any way that someone like me who is not from the area can donate blood for him? |
Re: No Problem Accident
I will find out and post it on here. Thanks.

Re: No Problem Accident
Can anyone give me any details on the person involved? I was told it was someone we traded a car with about four years ago, but the name doesn't sound correct. Thanks.

Re: No Problem Accident
It's Joseph Dupre, a boat captain from Bayou Lafourche in South Louisiana. It was a Duster that seemed to be going straight, but hit the wall, spun, and hit the wall with the rear and fire erupted. Intense fire that was hard to calm down and then a friend who still has his fire suit on went in and got him out. Baton Rouge burn center is probably the best in the nation. It will be a long way home. I can get more details if you need them.

Re: No Problem Accident
No, that's okay. About 4 years ago we traded a slipjoint Undercover dragster for a 69 Superbee to a fellow from down that way. We were told that is who was involved in the wreck, but we could not remember the fellow's name.

Don, at this time I would ask that everyone just hold tight. Current reports (yesterday) are not as good as we had hoped. Thanks.

Re: No Problem Accident

Jennifer Gaspard The blood drive is all set and for those people who live out of town and want to donate, all you have to do is go to your local blood center and give them my dads name and the hospital he's in ( Baton Rouge general hospital ) and they will credit my dad. — at Lifeshare Blood Centers. https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.n...86527217_n.jpg |

Re: No Problem Accident
Joseph Dupre (Jo Jo) has passed away from complications from his accident earlier this year. I have no details, but I will post them as they are available. Jo Jo was a good guy, worked in the oil support industry, had a family, and just didn't make it.

Re: No Problem Accident
They have a Facebook page that they have been updating since the accident. They were looking for donations for a benefit they are having to help with expenses. And selling T shirts as well. The page is Prayers for Joseph "Smoking Joe" Dupre" If any of you all would like to take a look. I did not know him or his family but followed along just to try and support a fellow racer and his family during a very rough time for them. RIP
