Re: Division 6 Frank Nelson RIP
Rest in peace my friend. Frank was a amazing guy and one of the nicest people you would ever meet. He would always be there to help you out or give you what ever you need at our away from the track. What I loved about Frank the most was he raced the old fashion way. No electronics. No computer. Heck it took him to his final years of racing to put a automatic in his car. He would tell me that aint racing. He would dump the clutch, bang the gears, and run it as hard and as fast as he could. He didn't care if he won or lost. He was having fun doing what he loved the most. Our heart and prayers go out to Ruth and the family. God bless you my friend.

Re: Division 6 Frank Nelson RIP
First event I attended driving Frank's old car (the Cavalier) on the West coast, everyone was coming by our pit are looking for him. I explained to everyone that came by looking for him, that we had just purchased the car.
I knew at that point he must have been a well liked guy, simply by the amount of people who came by 'his' car in the pits. A few of them even told me what a great person he is, and they were stopping by to say hello. Some of these people looked at me weird when I told them I was driving, when asked why, their reply was all the same... Frank is much taller than you, how do you reach the pedals? We had a good laugh about that all weekend... RIP Frank, and wish I had the opportunity to meet you. Sal |

Re: Division 6 Frank Nelson RIP
:(:( I was at Bremerton Raceway yesterday and heard the news. A big loss to Div. 6 and possibly the west coast. My condolences to the family - Rest in Peace Frank - you are no longer suffering. As a side note another racer lost his life recently. Tom Bouck died about a week and a half ago. He was only 54. Too young and another good guy gone from the northwest. My condolences also to Tom's famly and I will miss him also.

Re: Division 6 Frank Nelson RIP
So sad to hear of Big Franks passing. The first time I saw Frank Nelson was in the late 70`s, at the NHRA National event in his silver "Coors Light" sponsored early Camaro, either in Modified Production or Comp. I still remember hearing that liitle small block rev to the moon before Frank dumped the clutch, and watching a rear slick and wheel, with the axle flange still bolted on, fly off the car, and go bouncing down the track. As a diehard stick guy , Frank was always fun to watch, and a great guy who always seemed happy to talk with anybody at the track. Frank was a well known and well respected NorthWest racer, and he will be missed. RIP Frank.
