We are planning to go!

It looks like a heck of a payout THANKS TO MIDWEST CLASS RACERS and
THE TRACK TOP END DRAGWAY is a fun place! They truly appreciates the stock / super stock racers when we race with them!

We need to support our local S/SS COMBOS and a 2 day event like this is a killer deal!

Lets have a good showing and have some fun!!!!

Thank You, Watertown Ford Chrysler for supporting this event!!!

C-ya At Top End Dragway !!!!! It's gona' be a good one, don't miss it.

Dyno,
I am sorry you don't feel comfortable driving your beautiful car at this track.

Can I ask, why all the bashing on this track, the place is hosing an NHRA National Open for us to race at, with NHRA officials, rules, scale, as well as a S/SS combo on Sat. for some real nice payout.
Lots of people have worked there *** off putting this race together gathering sponsors
and money from them.Working with Div. 5 NHRA & TOP END DRAGWAY and others.

All I am asking is for everyone to stay positive about events like this one it could be, sooner than we know, that this type of race will be the only affordable place to run for the average stock super stock racer.

Stay positive and lets have fun!
Glen

Not bashing the track, nice people and place. I just had a very hard time stopping at the place, and that was with the stocker Camaro. I think supporting any track hosting a S/SS race should be commended, but safety is more important.

Point taken. You are correct safety first, Thank you!

Classes competing at West Central Open Series events include Stock/Super Stock Combo, Super Comp, Super Gas, and Super Street in addition to local ET Bracket classes. Also in conjunction with select Open events Watertown Ford-Chrysler Midwest Class Racers are stepping up support adding significant purse money to Saturday Shootout races for Stock/Super Stock and as well as bonus money for Sundays NHRA Eliminations.

More information on individual events including event schedule, entry, and payouts will be available in the weeks prior to the event on the local track websites, nhradiv5.com, and through National Dragster.

Re: Top end........national open

Is the payout gauranteed for all the catagories?
Sorry, I see it is only Stock and Super Stock that is guaranteed

JRyan 05-15-2013 01:40 PM

Re: Top end........national open

Arrow,

The reason that only Stock/Superstock is guaranteed is because Midwest Class Racers is a Stock/Superstock association. The association is putting up the guaranteed money.

Jerry

Re: Top end........national open

Is it Jerry or Rick that has to work till noon? If your making the tow up your giving up a better than average chance at making more than you will that morning any how!:) Work Monday thats what I'm doing!
For any one concerned with the shut down area at Top End Dragway. don't be!, I know from personal expirience if something does happen (like a complete brake failure) Its extremely flat past the end of the pavement!:D

JRyan 05-16-2013 05:45 PM

Re: Top end........national open

It's me(Rick) that has to work. If dad wanted too work I would just leave him home. If I don't show up Saturday, come Tues morning I'll be calling you asking if you know of any job openings. At the moment we only have four guys in our department and need two on for Saturdays. Being it is a holiday weekend the other two already made plans to be out of town. So here I'll sit. Dad isn't an NHRA member anymore probably been 5 years already and has little desire to be one or I would send him up on Saturday morning with the car.

Rick

Re: Top end........national open

Hey Rick, I was just giving you a hard time. If you want to send your dad up with the car I'm probably just gonna have the kids cars there. I'll have my helmet with however;) My NHRA stuff is all up to snuff:) I have been known to have daily moments of brillance. I'll pay entry and fuel and split the take with you!

Hey John that shut off is nice and smooth but can it be on the muddy side in the bean field??? See you up there bryan

novassdude 05-19-2013 01:15 PM

Re: Top end........national open

The smoothness at the end of the track is only on the years they happen to plant beans. Corn years get a little rough. But I have seen some really fast cars there stop with no issues going much faster than any stock or super/stock.

We (MCR) have recieved alot of phone calls & texts from Great racers looking forward to racing TopEnds Nat Open (May 25-26) ~ THANK YOU for considering this race. The payout is the best gaurenteed 2 days(2 races) stock/superstock payout in the history of Div 5(Nat opens). Also a track owner that is over joyed to have us! With this being said I have all so had a few negitive comments (the track is to short - the weather sucked last time i was there - my hot dog was burned etc.) MCR or TopEnd may not be perfect ~ but it's a Fantastic 2 day race. I've been around S/SS for 30 years, and all i have heard in that time, is lets organize so we get paid better - MCR has done just that - So put away your excuses and lets RACE! The better the car count = better races in the future.

Thank You, Dan Wiese

Unfortunately it looks like Reuland Racing will be sitting this one out. Weather is wreaking havoc with farm operations so we will be working instead. This is a great event with great guaranteed payout. See you all at Thunder Valley.

Times a bunch on what Dan said. The weather looks to be FAST. Lets go race! Just jetted the Two Ton Tamater up a little and Taylor will be there ready to rock! Unfortunately The 6 pak car is not quite ready. Stole to many parts off it for the Tamater! It will be ready for Thunder Valley. Who else is coming?

Will there be VP C-11 available?

I'm still trying to sort out my EFI combo, looking into coming...see what the weather does.

Anyone know how wet are the grounds? We have been pounded with A LOT of rain here lately.

JRyan 05-24-2013 10:15 AM

Re: Top end........national open

I don't know how wet the grounds are. They are calling for a 40% chance of rain overnight tonight. However, after that it looks dry for the rest of the weekend. I think the potential may be there to be fast this weekend.

As for VP C-11---- I called up to Line Performance and nobody from the shop is coming this weekend. As well, Top End doesn't sell race fuel.....just an FYI.
