So according to the tracks facebook page. they ran the entire event yesterday. even though it was listed as a 2 day event.. They didnt come out and say it, but i assume it was low car count.

You got it. 52 stockers, and 27 ? Super stock cars. Three time trials and a race. Lots of improvements to the pits and track.

What happens to the racer(s) who had to work yesterday...but showed up today?

Schedule called for Tech...1 time trial...and eliminations TODAY....

Is this the "future" of the 2-day event?

Think it's a bit unfair....that they "pulled the plug" EARLY....

I was going to post qualifying sheet but couldn't upload it. Decent turnout in stock. Good air. I don't think they got the car count they expected. We had time for 3 qualifying runs and then eliminations. I didn't stay to the end so I don't have results.

They finished Sunday am, they were down to finals and 4 cars in stock,,,,, SS was Tom Boucher over Raffe Karaguzien , semi's stock was Bob Moran over Bob Broadbent, and John Gray over Tim Stickles,,,,,, final was Gray over Moran

It says no time trial or qualifying on sunday, they would've just let you run the eliminator without a time trial. Given the original no tt on sunday schedule, i got my doubts any would show up sunday

I think there were a few reasons for the decision, and there is a band of showers headed that way right now, that may or may not have affected todays program had they stuck with it as printed.

52 and 27 is not a bad car count for a first time open at this time of year, considering all the races coming up in the next month. I think most racers would love a one day format.

Great race day saturday ! About the refund for crew it could have been nice beacuse i paid for my dad mom and girfriend for 3 days not 2

Jimmie - Sure would have loved to join you guys ( and gals ) supporting the P C Richard & Son National Open series but this time of year there are way too many races available to attend and only so much time ( not to mention available money to spend on traveling ) .And I wasn't going to spend my ClassRacer.com Christmas bonus on diesel fuel so its off to Maple Grove this coming weekend for the annual Memorial Day weekend of NHRA Lucas Oil Series there ....................

Dave, my mistake...I did a quick peek of the schedule the other day and didn't remember it all...the tt was for bikes.

Starting eliminations on Saturday was a good call....rain was heading that way on Sunday...I think. TOO MUCH of that showing up at NHRA races this year!

Think the ad says..."schedule subject to change without notice" somewhere?

Was wondering if someone would tech in on Sunday...and try to run the Open....w/o
a time trial?

A similar situation happened when I was at the Atco Open about 8-10 years ago...
Rain was heading towards the track so they hot-lapped everybody and got the
whole race in about 1pm or so....

A few minutes later...the skies opened up.....
done about 1 pm or so....
