I arrived this morning to Bowling Green. Joe Ewing and I have a nice spot in the the oval track. The weather is super nice here. Should be a great weekend. $5000 Nitroplate should be fun tomorrow night. Good luck to everyone racing this weekend. Doug Duell

Hope someone can take pictures from the pits and the surroundings. I haven't been to the track since Popular Hotrodding Mag. had the Sportsman National there ions ago. I remember the place with the swimming pool(great during those days when it was real hot) and love those covered bleachers. Thanks. CR

We are.live from Bowling Green. Kevin got here this afternoon and set up the NitroPlate display, and I rolled in an hour or so ago. I can't post pictures from my phone, but I will post updates. They're going to try to get us on the track around 9. The grill is hot and the beer is cold, it's great to be out racing. Stop by and see us at the NitroPlate display.

I think I saw Robin a while ago. Chad and Johnny Rhodes just rolled in. Johnny and Karen Deakins from Quick Fuel are here with their Top Dragster.

Ed, Robin was just up getting the cage certified. Also up in tech, Brandon Wilkinson, Kenny Schindler, Mike Welfel, Ryan Haag, Jerry Duke, and John Duzac. Jimmy Bridges is up here around the tech area, too.

Of course, Red man is in da house, along with Travis Miller, and that Spies guy that kept hanging around last night.

Bob Harrison is here, and Dan Jacobs was sitting behind Jeff Colvert in the tech line, two fast SS/F cars ..........

The weather is great, and despite a lot of cars going through tech yesterday, tech is still very busy with class cars. Thomas Barnett just pulled out of tech, and Clay just pulled in. Jim Merideth is here, as is Mike Stokes, with his dad Ed. The Skillmans are here with a fleet. Tech just got full, again.

Looks like a great weekend for racing!

Jeff is always fast. I talked to Robin he said he missed the SS/J record. He went 9.87 which is crazy fast!

I heard from John and George. They now are C/ Stick recordholders! Up late reassembling the car, but they are ready to go! Congrats! Baddest Z out there!

In stock, Gary Summers went 1.6 something under in his T/S Mustang and also set the record. My old car, 86 T-bird went 1.42 under and set the Q/SA record. The T-bird is now owned by Alan Mackin and huge congrats to him on the record. Other records in the tear down area yesterday were Tommy Turner, a SS/NA car that I don't know the name of. Gary Summers also had his SS car in tear down if I remember right. Colvert and Duzac have already been mentioned. 7 cars in tear down all together. We had great weather yesterday and a very well prepared track.

Congratulations to Matt Forbes and the entire Lucas Oil Crew for picking up the win in the Nitroplate SS/S Combo Shootout last night. It was an all Matt final with Matt Forbes defeating Matt Morris. It was an awesome race last night and a lot of fun with 97 cars running first round.

Sorry for the delay it was a long day yesterday.

Jim, me and George both had a great time at Bowling Green. Met many good Divsion THREE racers! The weather was good, much better than I expected. The last time I raced at Bowling Green was back a few years, It was in 1974! I loved it back then and we loved it over the weekend. It was just too bad Atlanta had a points race scheduled at the same time. Track operators really need to work a little closer with each other as it relates to scheduling. You know there would have been many racers who would have loved to race both events. The Division Three tech guys were heads on their game regarding their meticulous inspection of our car. I met some Quick Fuel guys who were very helpful, which made the trip even more enjoyable!
