Unusual Etown Run Schedule
 

Stock, Super Gas, Stock, Super Gas, Stock, Super Gas, Stock are the first 7 classes out. Looks like they will do qualifying and class in the same day. Super Stock doesn't go out for Q1 til roughly 3:30pm. Comp, Super Comp, Top Sportsman scheduled for late afternoon also.

I also noticed that we will be down to the semi's in all sportsman classes for Sunday. Odd schedule indeed...

It could be that the NHRA wants to make sure that Stock class (especially the Factory Stock Showdown) is run to conclusion. Also I noticed that Comp Q1, Super Comp Q1, and Super Stock Q3 are scheduled to start at 5:00 PM with Secure Track at 7:00 PM; but at the bottom of the Event Schedule it says that no engines can be operated after 6:00 PM on Thursday. Which is correct 6:00 PM or 7:00 PM? There is no way that they can run 3 classes in 1 hour. See you guys bright and early on Thursday!

Sounds like more of what they did at a couple of National events already....leave Sunday open for the circus. Seems like the discussion about separating sportsmen and pros has already been decided.

dont forget cant start till 10.00 am everyday..Why not run classes as far as you can before sunday..Makes sense.

when is the factory stock showdown. seems the manufacturers would like some fans to see them. I sure would. Can only go Sunday this year.

What is the 11.50 Index class shown on the schedule? Some sort of Harley deal or a .5 Pro Tree Heads up deal for cars? Odd to see on a National event schedule, perhaps something Englishtown is promoting as part of their weekly program?

I don't think that it involves motorcycles; I would guess that it is a heads up deal for cars. It definitely is strange to see it on a National event schedule.

11.50 class is real popular up in NJ Maryland area. A lot of beautiful muscle cars and assorted others running it.
Interesting it's running a national tho.
Hopefully one day new super car showdowns will be part of main show. Great introduction to stock and super stock for the less informed. not comparing them.

This should be interesting: can't start engines to warm things up like oil until 10, go race at 10:15, just when do you cool things down before you have to run. Maybe somebody should look into a slip-on header muffler rental business. All you would need is a selection of various inlet sizes and a bunch of Walker band clamps. I hope ya'll have a safe, productive race.
