Years ago somebody in D3 ran a Maverick with a stick. Seems like it was Harry Dolittle, but I'm not sure. That car was purchased here in D4 and raced for several years in the mid-90s, but I cannot remember the person's name. He did win a points meet an Baton Rouge with the car. That was a 200 engine.

There were 2 of them and were Comets and were Wheel City cars (Jack McCormack) Harry drove the automatic and Don McElroy drove the stick car.

Do you remember who had the blue Maverick stick car in D3? That car ended up here in D4; bought by a guy whose last name is Johnson, lived in LA.

I think George Cox may have owned that car.. light blue if I remember correctly.

That blue car is Harry's old car. I would be building a 302 at 162 hp if I were you. its a good dime rocket unless you want to go real fast and get carried away.

Jack Larson owns that Comet know. I think it has been retired since Jack bought the Pontiac he now races. Might be for sell.

Randy ran the 200 inch in V/S. We're a couple of Div 3 Chevy inliners that used to race them up here in the North. Got to know the guys and enjoyed watching their performance improve. Ronnie had just got the Comet working good in SS. Randy and Ronnie were two of the very best. Miss them still today.

Right! It came to me at 4am this morning!

Terry was a great guy. Worked as a tech at a Ford dealership in Monroe. The car was Harry Dolittle's car originally. I wonder what happened to that one?

Its the underdog car that Jack Larsen has. Harry mentioned getting it back and applying modern technology to it and a 4 speed now that it can run one.
