Hello Everyone,

I sold my dragster a month ago to a gentleman out of Texas and delivered the stocker today to a nice local couple here in Palm beach. The young lady in the pic is the driver and she is our local no box champion. They are corvette enthusiasts and speed junkies and will put the car to good use. She is a killer!!

I bought a nice old Potter hull Seacraft boat and I'm goin' fishing...literally. LOL

Probably won't get on here much anymore so I wanted to say thanks for the insights and information, the "live froms" by the Hill's and Meile's and the great community of stock/super stock racers. Maybe one day I'll build something else but not anytime soon. I'm going to set my toes 'n the sand and watch the sunsets through my corona bottle for a few years.

Gone Fishing---You are the smartest guy on this forum--Hope you catch some trophys and hang-em on the wall--Back in the early 70s- I was on a fishing tour in Florida and caught a blowfish--a lady gave me 20 bucks for it-:)

Good Luck with your "Retirement", Jeremy! It's been a while since I saw you start out bracket racing at Moroso and it's nice to see how well you've done.

I'm not a fisherman (things don't happen fast enough) and I don't own a boat (a hole in the water you through money into), but I think the idea of bench-racing while watching the tide roll out sounds just fine!

Ditto from me. I believe that for most of us, drag racing is in our blood. Just because you go fishin, doesn't mean you don't love the sport. Best of luck.

My son lost the championship to her by one round last year but I was proud of him since it was his first year of driving in the series you guys sponsored.

I owned 3 boats and it's a lot like racing, you need to keep going bigger and better, the last one had twin engines and was too big for a trailer.
I also ran SG for years and I'm currently building a stocker. I can tell you from experience the race car is actually cheaper!

I like Pedigo Perf's comment! I started out witha 45 hp Walleye boat, now up to 300 hp. That is as high as they go, but Tracker just came out with one rated for a 350 hp.....oh no!

Thanks for words of encouragement everyone! I was actually second guessing myself as it has been a long long time since I have not had a ready to race car in the garage.

It's funny how we (guys) think isn't it. This thing needs to be bigger and more power. It applies to everything from the race cars, boats law mowers etc, lol

It's not really a money thing as much as a change of scenery. Boat stands for Break Out Another Thousand, i get it, lol. I have 2 beautiful daughters (10 and 12) and an amazing wife who I think deserve some attention and its the least I could do. The wife can't believe I sold it all and was always supportive of the racing. I figure I have a few years left before the kids hate me so I might as well take advantage of it, lol

I still got a hot street car or 2 so I'll never get the car thing out of my blood but for now just kicking back and enjoying the family and soaking up some sun is just what the doctor ordered.

BTW my car is for sale too.
As far as a bigger boat goes I don't think so I've owned them up to 65 feet and at times it was too small.
When I grow up I want to be like you. LOL
