oh my gosh, RIP Scott

I first met Scott when i start going to florida every year for the fall race and the first divisional of the year at Orlando as myself Scott Bailey and Scott Helms would shoot the breeze for hours when i was down there. One year Scott took me to his mothers for thanksgiving which was a real treat as she loved her sons for sure. when scott went to work for Jeff Tueton and the Southland Performance deal, he contacted me right off of the bat wanting a ad in my book. I've always liked scott and even last year at Cajuns we got to sit around and chat for a bit. It's a great loss to me, wow I'm floored, to all the Helms family, my thoughts are with you. We lost one of the good ones right here.

Very sad news.
 

What a shocker. Bill and I met Scott at our very first NHRA race in 1999 at the Open held in Orlando when we both ran G/SA in Class Eliminations. What a nice guy! Scott was always happy and friendly.

Later when Bill and I relocated to the Tampa area, we saw Scott often as a friend and as a racer at the track.

Always willing to help, I called Scott last weekend while we were at the Belle Rose race in need of a part.

RIP Scott Helms.

I got to know Scott when he raced with us at the SSSSA races. Great, fun guy. Very sad to hear that we lost him and very shocking. Its been a rough couple of weeks for the Helms, Teutons and the Hebert families. Prayers go out to all of them and their families. RIP Scott!!

The last time I seen Scott was the Citrus Nationals right before he left for Louisiana. He offered me a ride to the track and a place to stay in his motorhome. It was a great weekend and he was really excited about his new job. His hospitality was over the top! R.I.P. Scott! You will be missed my friend!

Had the pleasure of one evening in Scott's company at PRI, and he made a lasting impression on me. Can't believe that I will not have another opportunity to connect on this side. RIP Mr. Helms.

I lost a wonderful newphew in Scott. Everybody loved his happy cheerful nature, he made everyone smile and was a joy to be around. We were so proud of him. today we lost a huge part of our heart and will miss him so much. condolences to pat, kevin, an leigh.
