Denver LODRS photos - SS final set for July 4th
 

Due to a late rain storm the SS finals are set for the combo race @ Bandimere's July 4th with Jim Hawkins squaring off against Henry Sliwinski. I can't imagine waiting weeks for a final round!

Here are some shots of the cars and the friendly faces from Friday's Qualifying sessions @ Bandimere Speedway.
To start here is the Topeka Winner Tim Nicholson, Tony Hernandez, Mike Rezny, Steve Hagberg, Mike Jeffries and John Cooper.

Jeff Johnson, Jim Beuthel, Jim Hawkins, Jim Hughes, The Mopars coming into the lanes and it does not get any better than Steve Hagberg's Savoy and John Cooper's Thunderbolt. Photos do not do these two beauties justice.

Michael Brand Stk @ tech, Scott Burton (sleepwalking- he was flying until 3am Friday but he will wake up in time for eliminations), Steve Hagberg Stk and Verle Stevens- the machinist behind more World Champions, Division Champions, and record holders than I can count.

So with the car counts being down some time was available for new classes that are being considered. Other divisions are running new "index" classes so why not a new Stock class? The new class is WWW/SA. Unfortunately they will not be able to add this one because the clocks only go to 28 seconds and this guy can't quite crack that number.

Darn Bill...that's a car that I would nearly give up half track to, and I've one of the slowest stockers in the country...lol

However thanks to Verle Stevens, who's also the master mind behind the engines for two of the more competitive/consistent running fwd's in the country (Randy's Citation being one as well)...Go Hawk!!! :)
