just alittle story from a fan

i know I'm not a stock or super stock guy, my son is 14 and drives a jr dragster , i have a little story for you , Friday night my son and i head to wards the track 1 1/2 away not 20 Min from my house i caught a blow out on inside rear on the motor home (right next door to Mr jimmy's used cars) putting the spare on the jack sinks in the asphalt and the motor home almost falls on me. finally get the spare on and tell my son I'm going home not make the trip with no spare (but dad if we go you won't regret it), went home mounted a new spare and got back on the road , showed up at the track 7 hrs after i actually left:eek: the next morning after he makes his first pass he tells me dad Mr Tim is riding with me! i said thats good just stay focused! well he says that every pass, wins the race and then wins king of the track!! he dedicated the race to Tim Hebert, Scott helms, and Shane vicknair, 3 local racers that we have lost recently! Mr. Tim Hebert was related to me by marriage but were i come from that family!! i know allot of people don't believe in that kind of stuff but I'm not judging you just thought i would share this story.i know it was long thanks for listening

Thanks for sharing and congrats to you all.
Nice to see interest and parent encouragement, we need young blood to perpetuate the sport.

he is a third generation racer, my dad raced i bracket raced and now he raced since he was 8 ,thats what i was hoping but his racing career is uncertain because after 7 years of racing and 102 trophys NHRA says they will not be renewing his license for next year because he has A.D.D. we are doing everything they ask us for, but his future is uncertain as of now. my fingers are crossed hoping everything works out:confused:
