Woodro, the cars in tear down, did they set record`s or protested ? I thought class run offs were saturday, Tom

Seems like NHRA picked 3 cars after qualifying! Jimmy wasn't for sure but he thought James Paul and MCclister, not sure of the spelling!

Woodro, how was Jimmy able to get a piston out? Did he lift the engine with it still in the car to get the pan off or ?????

Wow.....that's a lot of work on one of those cars. I got one so I know. Did you bring your own stuff to get that motor out? I hope you had plenty of help and am guessing you did.... Glad to hear you passed and I hope you got it back together and win some rounds....you deserve it......Rich

With four efi cars that he owns (plus countless more people that he helps), I believe no one has done more engine pulls than Jimmy.

The warehouse at the track is Pat's garage for his car, so he has everything there. When Pat was building this track, he told me that it would have lifts in case someone needs one and it does.

You need something ask Pat and he will tell you "No Problem"

Why does this only happen in Division Four ????
I don't remember any other Division with this going on.........
Like last year at the Motorplecx...

Larry Hill 04-21-2007 07:30 PM

Jimmy wanted me to let everyone know that he had the rod pulled in 50 minutes!! Prety good, huh!!

Hey Larry, i wonder who instagated this tear down, NHRA or some racer running his mouth? I would say the later, don't guess they figured they could be outrun by a legal car!

Woodro,
Jimmy's car (Landry), James Paul, and McClister were picked by NHRA on the 1st day for teardown before they had made a run. I haven't heard anything but that they were picked. Don't know why.

we were told that teardowns were at the descretion of the divisional tech team...

and KUDOS to wesley roberson who instituted THE FIRST (AND ONLY SO FAR) technical inspection regarding this seasons NHRA released RULES on piston and rods...guess the other division tech teams either are not interested in enforcing the rules or have not had thier balls returned to them from glendora

and kudos to the hidalgo's... never bitched, whined, questioned... they simply put a rod in wesleys hand, and continued HAVING A DAMN GOOD TIME !!!!!!!!!!!!!

If only I could have had Bill Mc Clister pull the 4 - 7 swap on the plug wires I think I would just niped him in the lights.

It looks like the NHRA Div 4 Tech dept picked the leaders in the Div. 4 points. It doesn't read that way now because of the 4-23-07 update.
Sounds like a pretty good(fair) way to decide "Who" gets to go to the barn.
So much for the gripe that the winners are not being checked. In Div 4 it looks like the points leaders are good to go.
