Hi gang - well like they say its going to be a stinker .No , not the race but the weather - its already hot and humid at this early hour .The trip here - uneventfull i'm glad to say - just a short 7 and a half hour jaunt .It was boogie here and not fool around .Me ? This young man is ready for a nap and then tech in later - forget test n tune , not going to learn much today but they are going to run until 8pm and i'll fill you in with any details i might find .

Did notice something odd about a half hour from the track where we stopped to fill up - when was the last time you saw diesel and hi test at around the same price ?

Later kids ............BTW, I just threw in the beach pic for fun . It was either here or the beach - which was the smarter move ? ?

New England RV dealer Marc LaBrecque showed up this weekend with a fresh Winnabago Tour that is just the cats' behind - huge slides - twin screw - plenty of rich Corinthian leather couches - a double door fridge that holds enough food for an Army and this this thing must be close to fifty feet long - he says its only in the mid forties .I told him it must be hard to drive with a stacker behind it - he says nope - its a breeze - a monkey could probably drive it .........turns out he's close to being right ..............

Test n tune going on this afternoon - funny thing is more passes are being made by alcohol cars than Stock and S/S stuff.......No , its not fast out there but the traction was decent - no mineshaft stuff but they are leaving without terrible wheelspin .

With a couple of hours left on the test n tune a storm blew in very quickly and ended it all .Good news ? ? Its a whole lot cooler now than before ...

Good morning gang - Its day one here at NED and I can promise you one thing - it'll be another stinker today as its extra humid at this early hour .But the rains are gone and we've got blue skies .

I've had Wiemaraners for years....they train us to do everything for them. If you don't know that then your Wiem is especially bright. LOL. Our oldest was a Can Am and specialty champ that even showed at Westminster and think she had us whipped into shape by 6 months of age. (Probably a more expensive hobby than racing in many regards)

Jack, there are still a few states that diesel is cheaper than premium, it's taxes, refinery logistics and of course political BS.

Headed out in the early am for the track in a car that nobody would have guessed that I would drive.. Anyway Thanks to A GREAT Friend I will be there in the am with a ........Cant say it ..............GM stocker ok I said it .. A Racecar is a Racecar and I cant wait... Yeah it will be slower then my sstocker But racing is racing... Going to have 1 timeshot and eliminations ...I have Faith !!!!!!!!

Good morning - And once again the only noise this AM are generators powering AC units .Even those folks who don't normally run them ( you know who you are ) because of high fuel costs are using them to cool off .

Looking out my window its another pretty morning - more blue skies and Sun but they are talking about t-storms later today .

It just doesn't seem right - sitting here having Special K for breakfast after what I ate last night when I joined the Jewell family for a 'lobsta' feast at the Old Salt Inn in Hampton Beach .Thanks New England ..............

In a few hours we'll go out for our final quaifier and then around 1pm it back out for round one of eliminations .

And how about Katie Sepanek leading the pack in Stock .Her ice box white Chevelle was smokin' hot yesterday .Anyone know if we've ever had a lady # 1 qualifier ? Where's the stat man when you need him?

And in S/S it was Scott Goves' 93 Daytona SS/AM leading the charts with a great .88 under .

Stock got their first (and final ) hit -most were real close to yesterday mornings shot .85 degrees with 55% humidity and a 29.54 barometer = 3026 DA .Not very nice for this early .SuperStock out shortly ...........

The local DRAW chapter has a few tents setup near the lanes and are selling sweet goodies - I personally tried the peanut butter covered Cheereos and they were terrific - stop by and get you some .......They also have snow cones ! !
