Div 7 salt lake final what happened
 

I was there for first round but sucked at both ends of the track. Then headed out for the Long Drive home. When I look on Drc and read about the final was this a deal being cut? Have heard about this at big buck bracket races but at a divisional race. This reminds me of Team orders in the pros. What do people think about this. Toby sorry I didnt do a live from salt Lake. Looked like Some good heads up Racing after I left. Thats what it is all about.

Not being there and just looking at DRC, it begs the question..... What size DIVING trunks does Doug wear???

If it was a dive then they sure as heck should have done it differently. Look at the National points standing and tell me how this would be any different than the NASCAR Richmond deal. NHRA needs to address the situation and if they investigate and say everything's ok I'd feel better about it, can't say how Stock Points contenders might feel though.

I was not there and have no dog in this fight. But if this wen't down as described I can not believe there is not more outrage over this. I would not dive for ANYONE and I sure as heck would not wan't anyone diving for me. What satisfaction do you get from winning when it was pre arranged for you? Maybe this goes on more than I know but if he goes on and wins the championship it will be tarnished. They could of at least been smarter about how they did it. Total BS.

This sort of thing happens all the time in weekly bracket racing. My son who was in the running for the track championship at our local track was approached at 8 cars about laying down for a fellow racer for a fee. His answer....NO, race me for it.Well he lost the round, but I've never been more proud of him. Good to know he's learned integrity is priceless. Without it what have you really accomplished?

Maybe Doug car had a broken trans or something and he had to stage to get runner up. Just saying. Only one's to answer this is Doug orJustin

If you are one of the ones in contention for the National Championship, it is VERY important!!!

I bet nobody ever gave Helms, Fletcher, Bertozzi, Biondo, Santangelo or Taylor any free rounds!! If they did get a free round, it was much better orchestrated.

:confused: Seems odd that neither car did a burnout. If one car is broke, then shouldn't the other car do his/her regular routine to make it seem like a real race? Hopefully, Doug or Justin will let us know what really happened. I would think if this was a game, it would have been done less obvious. Late light, lift at 1,000 ft. or REDLIGHT. Just sayin'.

It's probably really important to somebody like Drew Skillman and Charley Downing!

What does 2nd or 3rd pay in the national points anyway?

Unfortunately, Biondo did win a round at the englishtown nationals a couple of years ago driving for vinnie Barone. His team mate left before the tree was activated, I think it was Anthony Bertozzi he was racing, did Bertozzi forget how to drive?

I believe it goes on more than is noticed, Is sad if you are chasing Points

Tony, I don't have a dog in this fight but just would like to make a point.

Ask Michael Waltrip if actions detrimental to the integrity of the sport are important... Get my drift???

There was a 21 point difference between Winner and R-up. 614 minus 21 equals 593...and that would have only been good enough for 5th place in the national point standing instead of 3rd.

There seems to be a lot of views without proof. Justin has to go to the semi final to pass Drew in Las Vegas or Georgia, 83 Points. I suppose he could also go to Noble. There are still other in the running.

This happens almost every year at the end, check out the results from Vegas, Nat. & Div races and you will see a pattern. this stuff happens every year in one class or another, thats just the way it is....some people just don't know how to cover it up or don't care too.
