Re: QuickTime
Did you mean "Quick Times Racing News", Gary? Becky White has a blog she writes from her home in Lincolnton, NC.
Here's the link - http://quicktimesracingnews.blogspot.com/ I looked for her this past weekend at the show in Henderson but I didn't find her. We had a great time reminiscing last year!:) |

Re: QuickTime
Quick Time Bellhousings were purchased by Mr. Gasket a couple of years ago and are now a part of Lakewood Industries.

Re: QuickTime
Thanks Jim, yes I was looking for info on QuickTime scatter shields. Regarding Becky White I remember her back in the early days of big money brackets, we used to advertise in her publication and pretty good friends with dad.

Hi Gary,
There is some pretty good information on the web re: QuickTime. I included a link to Lakewood's site and also The Car Shop for pricing. Lakewood http://lakewoodindustries.com/drivet...lhousings.html The Car Shop http://quicktimebellhousings.carshop...rers_id/343730 |
Re: QuickTime
Gary I got a QT. Its real nice just want you to know if you get it with the window you can only adjust the c/w. The opening is not big enough to do anything else. Ed

Re: QuickTime
Call Browell first and see if he can make you one.
QT is hard to adjust base, but you can do it. Probably depends on the clutch and distance. Mine is tight and I made my own tool that fits to quickly adjust base and keep track of the turns/flats. The QT window is very small in my stocker compared to my Browell in my ss'er. As suggested, Jim S can help you select and order a QT. I got mine through him for my stocker and his contact without issue. |
Re: QuickTime
Browell makes a custom bell housing that is similar to the QuickTime. The window can be clocked wherever you want it, and it is large enough to make clutch adjustments easily. It does not cost much more than the on the shelf bell housings.

Re: QuickTime
:( Okay I'm gonna lament a little...although I still own it, not sure if I'm ever gonna get to run the stocker again unless this economy turns around and I can restore my career. Now that I've said it, I wanna kick myself for purchasing one of those old school #15000 series red Lakewood housings when I built it. Bulky, heavy, and very difficult to work with while in the car is just the beginning. If I do get to play with it again I will most certainly talk to Browell. The stocker has been for sale for a while, just haven't pushed it. With that I've considered putting the Jerico in the '65 behind a Cleveland based motor I've got packed away. Regardless what I do, it will be one of those smaller, lighter easy-to-work with housings. $$ and time will tell.

Re: QuickTime
I bought a QT for my AMX. Nothing wrong with it. But then Browell came out with his version & I purchased one with the inspection cover.
I sold the QT, kept the Browell. |
