Seems that no account Canuck named Tom Nolan
owns the fastest A/SA at Vegas this weekend. #1 qualifier out of 14 cars and did it with a FE Boat motor in a 64 Fairlane. He was .981 under and his driver Tibor just missed winning class with a .008 red in the final. Nice going guys and kudo's to Blair Patrick for making the power.
And sorry James Perrone if this post offends you! |

Re: Seems that no account Canuck named Tom Nolan
Tom is a great guy! He has helped me with my car when he had no reason to.
These stupid passive-aggressive threads (not this one-LOL!) get old after a while..... Good luck Tom! |
Re: Seems that no account Canuck named Tom Nolan
Correction!! Paul Cannon in his mighty 427 chev is your fastest A/SA. Check out who has the class Wally!

Re: Seems that no account Canuck named Tom Nolan
Altitude and thin air affecting Capt Canuck..lol
Remember quaifiying up top usually means you get a head start loading up first. Now that car Tibor is driving is badass.. no possible to offend me ..been call a chinaman all my life but it aint true.. |

Re: Seems that no account Canuck named Tom Nolan
Nice Job Tom, Tibor and Blair! I got the chance to meet Tom and Tibor in Bowling Green last year when I was home on R&R and they are first class guys! Keep up the good work!

Re: Seems that no account Canuck named Tom Nolan
You fellers may get to know for sure tomorrow if the stars line up just right. Paul and Tibolt are both still in and on opposite sides of the ladder. A nice A/SA heads up final would pretty much settle it. I'd say neither one would leave anything on the table for the final round. The Ford went to the barn two weeks ago for random teardown, so at least that won't be an issue.

Re: Seems that no account Canuck named Tom Nolan
The 14 of us that were in A/SA had a blast. Everyone did there best to win that did not have an agenda. Bedford was the only one not to show for first round of class, he doped a valve and his weekend was over.
We had five 427 Chevys, one 402 Chevy, one 396 Chevy, one street hemi, one low compression Max wedge, two six packs, and three super stockers, all trying to win A/SA. I got to see John Cooper car, man is it a piece of quality work. Under the hood you cant see # 3 or #5 plug or the header bolts for those cylinders. Changing plugs has to be done after the valve cover is off, not an easy car to work on according to John. |
Re: Seems that no account Canuck named Tom Nolan
I concur about having a blast Larry...14 A/SA cars for class is a first for our team...And also a first for the class wally that has eluded Paul many years. The battles were fun and long but had not got er done till this race. Nobody works harder than Paul on the cars and I'm glad he finally got that class wally. And yes we were thinking about a heads up A/SA final...Next time!

Re: Seems that no account Canuck named Tom Nolan
Congrats to Paul Cannan. He had a great car and drove a great race to win the class and also to go several rounds in the Eliminator. That is alot harder than it looks, no matter what brand you work with.
