7.923/173.17...
The second run for Chris Holbrook and the new Watson Racing SS/BB 2014 Mustang was a 7.923 at 173.17 mph during competition at the NMRA Spring Break Nationals in Bradenton, Florida.
As an addendum, Chris drove his Watson Racing AAA/SA 2013 Mustang Cobra Jet to an 8.52/159.50, as well. Again, here's the original press release with details about the car: http://competitionplus.com/drag-raci...tock-challenge |

Re: 7.923/173.17...
When I look at the pic on competition plus where is the stock floor in front of the wheel tubs? If I remember about 3 years ago a Super Stocker had to replace his . Not trying to stir the pot but did they change the rule?

Re: 7.923/173.17...
Does NMRA have the same tech and penalties as NHRA?
I see the Candies SS/AAA went 8.030 at 173+ at the Div 4 race on a 7.97 dial. I see in the article that Holbrooks car is SS/BB with a stick (very cool by the way) What class is BB/A in SS, is that SS/BB with a slushbox? I see the qualifying list showed it as a 7.94 index. |

The listing of Hary Phillip as a BB/A at Baytown is a typo; it's the first time they've entered that class into the CompULink and the program obviously accepted it as BB/Altered, (7.94 Index), rather than SS/BBA. Congratulations to Brett Candies for clocking the fastest speed in Super Stock history at 173.43 mph! |

Re: 7.923/173.17...
Seriously? I truly apologize, Carey. I'm glad you corrected me, though. If I could ask, could you provide me with the exact speed on the 176 pass so I can note it?

Re: 7.923/173.17...
No problem at all.
176.19 is our fastest in super stock. |
Re: 7.923/173.17...
Is it considered even though its not a nhra sanction race??

Thank you, Carey, and thank you, Brett.
For those who haven't heard, Ray Skillman ran 7.994 at Valdosta, too. |
