Last year lost 20 # changing my diet.
Made sure 20# of weight to remain in G/PS.
Like to stay at 50# over at all times.

IHRA Scales will weigh my car 100# over on one run and 20# under the next.
On good scales right at 4350#
Did have a plans to lighten the car 300# to run F/PS.

I sure like my AC during the Summer, going to stay in G :D

Today's prediction about 8-12 Pure Stockers are expected to show up.
Most seem to be in the Carolinas. Hoping for more.

It be great to see TarHeal gain !!

Thanks Dan. Would love to go but that's a long tow from East Texas. School is still in and even though I'll be done with softball it's 1,000 miles each way and with gas for the motorhome, entry fees, etc. that's almost a $2K trip. Put it in the summer one time when we're off and we'll make a vacation out of it. Does sound fun!

I just got the car back from the paint shop a couple of weeks ago. I'm not sure if I will have all the parts to put it back together before the race. I'm waiting for the bumper and new trany parts. The car is a 67 400hp tri-power.

Funny you should say that. Wendy and I drove the car to a car show a couple weeks ago about 5 miles from the house. On the way home, on flat ground, I clicked the DIC on to check the gas mileage. At 65mph it was getting 26mpg! That is with a Yank SS4000, 3.90 gear, and 27" drag radial. What's sad is that the best gas mileage vehicle we own! Our motorhome gets 6mpg towing. :(

Very cool car! Can't wait to see it complete in race trim and hear what it runs. Definitely unique. Will we see a 10-second Pure Stocker?

I'm a long way off of the 10-second run. Had the car out last fall in good air and went 11.42 @ 120 mph.

That's still one of, if not the fastest, Pure Stocker. We went 11.58 in nice fall air as well about 150 lbs. over B weight. Since then too I found out our cam is much smaller than it could be to be legal. Oh well; live and learn.

I think you mean fastest by ET but you do know fastest in stock/super stock is how far under index you go ? not saying this to be know it all or take away from anyones cars.

Mike I appreciate all you do for me.
I have lost interest in stock again. Lol. I am putting my truck together for some super gas or super street. This hobby is expensive. As soon as parts come in for 305 I am sure I will get the shakes again.

Mike Taylor 3601

Yes. Fastest as far as just pure lowest ET. When I personally talk about how far under I say quickest. To go 10s in A/PS would also be pretty far under but I was just talking about who's Pure Stocker would run the lowest ET period.

Mike, Mine was a glide, its a hell of a combo, no broken parts ! It broke rockers and a cracked piston once in a while.

The vette is a stick like all race cars should be. :) Running a 10.99 is going to be a tall order for me. I still have to get the car back together and with this cold weather in Michigan I don't see much test and tune happening. Brett

Regardless of whether or not you get to the 10s it's still a WAY COOL combination (especially with the stick) and one of only a handful of Pure Stock cars with the potential to ever run a sub 11-second pass. We're still 5 tenths away and unless we build a race motor and take the car off the street I don't see us getting there either.
