Prayers for Jim Parsons
 

Division 5 stock racer Jim Parsons will have major cancer surgery on April 2nd.
Recovery will take at least a year. I thought everyone should know. He is one of the nicest people you will ever meet!

I keep telling NHRA and IHRA that we (S/SSracers) are dropping like flys, and we don't regenerate ourselves with ;little or no new blood coming into our ranks,but they don't listen or care and continue with crap like header tethers, not policing HP as needed, raising our fees, cutting our payouts and exposure raising our expenses, yet lowering or eliminating our rewards.

Heck of a racer too! He laid a driving lesson on me at Belle Rose! We have a rematch scheduled for next year!

Jim and Linda are the nicest people you could ever meet. Jim has helped me on getting my clutch sorted out. The Parson's stocker has a very cool story behind it too.

Good Luck Jim Parsons. I talked to Jim at the resent Sports National about his upcoming surgery. Jim is a good guy and a fighter! Jim has owned that Nova since it was new. Get well soon Jim! Hope to see you back at No Problem next year.

Good luck to you Jim! My dad and I met Jim at the recent Sports Nationals. He told us the story about how he bought the Chevy II brand new. We look forward to seeing you in the future.

Jim had 6 1/2 of surgery every went well, now healing time.

Thanks, Larry - you beat me to it. The only other details I know are that Jim should be going home in 4 days and the doctor said they didn't find any more cancer. See ya at Earlville, Jim!!

I would like to thank all who have called, sent cards and or who have relayed concern and prayers my way. Words just can’t express how it has helped get me through some long days and nights.
We are well on the way of recovery and getting stronger each day. My appetite is back and I’m starting to gain back some of the 20+ lbs. lost, so I guess E/S minimum weight was only a passing thing. Doc said full recovery is a year but being a racer who has always enjoyed a challenge have drop that index down to 6 months which hopefully puts me back at the track this year.

Yes I received your stat book shortly after getting home from the hospital and it has provided many hours of enjoyable reading. I had no idea of how much information you compiled in one of these!

Hey, fellas - Jim needs us. I just called him for a chat, and he answered from a hospital bed. He says they don't know yet what's wrong with him, and wasn't really up to talking. He said he would give me a call when he's feeling a little better.
