New U/SA
1 Attachment(s)
Got my new car ready just in time for the Class Nationals. I sent the specs to NHRA, waiting for approval. 412 c.i. aluminum V8, 139 hp. I'm not afraid of McCarthy, Nees, Wong, or Summers.
Do my chauffer and I both need helmets? I can't find it in the rule book. |
Re: New U/SA
Full face required if you ride shotgun, open face if you ride in the back seat, this was added so that back seat riders could sip champagne and enjoy finger foods with Grey Poupon. Individual state open container laws apply.

Re: New U/SA
Bob, you had better start racing more! You have way too much time on your hands.
(you never had to worry too much about us anyway) |
Re: New U/SA
Hi Bob, I noticed that you're not afraid of Billy, Jack, Paul and Gary. But what about me?
I know secretly that you fear me more than anyone else. Remember the little blue bottle I had in Belle Rose years ago. Have you forgotten the low air pressure tire trick. What about the "getting your opponent intoxicated the night before" game. Don't forget that I have Albert Einswine riding with me, if he smells BBQ ribs on your hands you are in deep trouble. Fear The Pig. You all better be happy that my new project is not finished in time for the Class Nationals. I am adding a hydrogen peroxide package to the car, should put me in the high 9's. Ok, Ok, it is Aprils Fools day, maybe not high 9's, but low 10's is very feasible. Ron Ortiz U/SA not just for cuts anymore. |
Re: New U/SA
Ron, no offense but when we're around you, we're more afraid of getting bit than getting beat!

Re: New U/SA
Grrrrrrrrrr, woof, woof, grrrrrrrrr, woof, grrr, grrrrr, grrrrr, woof, wooof, oink, oink.
Translate that . Ron Ortiz U/SA oink, grunt |
Re: New U/SA

Re: New U/SA

I have always been afraid of all you guys. I'll never forget the US Nationals when I had you covered by 2 tenths and you beat me anyway! Ron nearly outran me in a class final at Belle Rose. Jack just flat outran me at Belle Rose. |
Re: New U/SA
If you're going to do the Rolls, you've got to spend the extra $$ and get a fire suit that looks like a tux!

Re: New U/SA
The Spirit of Ecstasy has got to be worth AT LEAST a tenth! :)
|
Re: New U/SA
Rule 15.47/B-29A clearly states that FOUR pieces of scotch tape are required on each contingency decal. How you got through tech I'll never know.
ps. You look like you have a brake fluid leak. |

Here is what I was thinking of entering in V/S or V/SA. It is 1,000 hp and weighs 110 tons. I think that's 220lbs/hp, but it's a six cylinder, so it can't run W. I don't know if an electric transmission qualifies as a stick or automatic.

Re: New U/SA
Marty, this is a U/SA thread, do not contaminate it with other possible class combos. Start your own V/S or V/SA thread. I just can't believe the nerve of some people, imposing their own agenda on our sacred U/SA grounds. Our class is comprised of some very unusual individuals who are capable of the unthinkable at any time. It just seems natural that the rest of the racing community wants in. I am sure that there are some very talented and bright people out there reading this thread and just drooling to participate, let alone compete. I am sorry if I have may offended you Marty, so here is some soothing advice.
You could claim it as an 8 cylinder and probably fit in U/SA. I think it is on the borderline of being bogus though. Especially with the nose overhang, I can see you dipping the nose in the lights and pick up about three tenths. Can't wait to see the Tech guy who gets you to inspect. Nice choice though, I bet you do not need seat belts re-certified every two years. Like the red paint job, good luck. Ron Ortiz U/SA and proud of it |

Re: New U/SA
You could run a V/SA in U/SA, just change the V to a U.
|
Re: New U/SA
Hey Larry, does that mean I can change my "U" to a "V".
Oh. BTW, congrats on your KY Cats, they did real good. Marty, when are you going to run that thing, I'm interested to see what it runs. Hey everybody, I'm not real sure or not but I think Bob is luring us into a false sense of security scenario with his new combo. Isn't that car of foreign make, therefore not accepted by NHRA in Stock. He is setting you all up, he's coming out with something really weird, I can tell because he posted this thread on April 1st. Ron Ortiz U:V/SA look out W/SA |
