Especially if there is a fast one that holds their foot down the entire way! I bet the Drag Pak driver will! I have seen that one fly before!

According to the Classification Guide, that's the only combination that it could be. The weight break for SS/BA IS 6.50 - 6.99; the P-51 coupe has a factor of 6.50 and the P-51 covertible is at 6.75. Of course the entry list could have the car in the wrong class, but if it is correct; way cool!

Jim,

I happen to know where you could find one....

Would look good in your garage!

That's what I keep telling Denny...saw your 8 second run in it at Mission, amazed nobody has snatched it up yet.

Thanks for the moral support Art but I'm sure you know we are small potatoes. If they want the SS/FS designation, I'm sure they would yank it away from my class in a heartbeat.

Art,

Thank you for reminding me. I was making a play on the Factory Showdown in Stock with all those late-models in SS/BA. Need to be more careful.

He may not be the fastest car in SS/BA but you will have to drive your A** off to beat him on the tree. Where are all the other older cars?

We're in hibernation. At present, a competitive BBC combo will make approx. 900 HP vs. a competitive Cobra Jet with over 1200 HP. A slight disparity exists !

Nice to see some of the new cars race each other and appear to actually race. Those cars are really cool when they push the pedal down!

Put down the crack pipe buddy, the small blower CJ's make more than you, but no where near 1200.
How about using a power/speed calculator? Any idea how fast a CJ can go with 1200?
Wescott and Hopkins know if you really want to know.

See you at the races,
Wayne Kerr

Not with the BOGUS factoring of the new cars. Once again NHRA "enhancing the sportsman experience".
