Re: Congrats to Marty Buth on winning the Quick 32 Race in S
Thanks for the post and all the congrats! It was a real pleasure to meet Marty Knox and see him walking around the pit area with his good friend, Billy Nees. It was great to see Billy again. I met Billy for the first time, at the first Class Nationals.
This was really a fun race and it was my pleasure to be in the final 4 along with Gary Summers, Bob Shaw, and Charlie Downing. Being in that kind of company made me wonder if my little 4 cylinder was up to the task of winning against that level of fast cars. I appreciate the congrats from Neil Smedley! I got to meet Mark Yacavone at this event and I asked Mark if you were there, Neil. I would really like to meet you some day. Many of the class racers speak very highly of your knowledge of combinations in class racing. Thanks to Corbitt and Pat for the congrats! I hope I can get back to No Problem and race in the CIC race again. It is wonderful to compete at a race like this, where you can let the car run to it's potential, without the fear of getting HP added to the combination. We didn't have any 1000 foot racing at this event! |

Thanks to Bob Michaels, Jim, Nick, and Bob Bender. Bob, sure would have liked to meet you at this race, but I read that you and Penny were dealing with health issues. I hope God blesses you both with speedy recoveries.

Re: Congrats to Marty Buth on winning the Quick 32 Race in S
Congrats Marty. And, you're right, it was a murderers row in the semis. I didn't know who had what penalties already, but I told Don at fuel check "The loser of these races may go -1.60 and the winner will be -1.80". Was nice to see you as well, first time in 10 or so years. Job well done :)

Thanks to Mike Carr for all his work at the Class Nationals,,,,,,great to see you again, buddy! Thanks to Tyler.....very nice to meet you and chat for a while. In my opinion, Tyler is the kind of young man that we need more of in our Class Racing sport. He is a very good driver and a very well mannered young man.....I bet his Dad is very proud of him! I wish you all the best Tyler!

Mike Taylor, truly was my pleasure to meet you and be at the Sunday RFC service with you and Randall.
Wade, thanks for the congrats. I am so happy that your knee and leg have healed from your mishap last year and you are back at the drag strip. It was really nice to see you and Alex! I sure miss the old days racing with your Dad! |

Re: Congrats to Marty Buth on winning the Quick 32 Race in S
you did great Marty and if you noticed I really enjoyed doing the "shoe polish attack" every round on everybody, cause I had a great time kidding some what I was going to put on their windows
|
Re: Congrats to Marty Buth on winning the Quick 32 Race in S
Thanks, Joe. I remember your "shoe polish attack" on Bob Shaw's Caddy when you said he was down to a 10.99, on his U/SA index. I think you made Bob do a double take as you put his shoe polish index on the window. Thanks for all of your hard work over the race, Joe!
