"Live From" Fletcher Racing
 

Well I'm live from Fletcher Racing head quarters in sunny Rochester, NY. I stop by unannounced and started taking photos. I was immediately escorted off the property. Seems Dan does not like visitors, go figure.

Just kidding kidding folks, I'm up here with Dan and his family for a graduation party for his daughter, then off to Norwalk. I ask Dan if I could get a few shots of him working on the race cars, he said go for it, I think some might be interested in what Dan does on his off time, well there never is off time. He is always working on one of the race cars. Every year there is seems to be another one in the stable. The Nova is Timothy's Super Street ride, that's Dan under the car. The Camaro is getting looked over real well to make sure there are no more issues like last week.

Dan will be doing some testing before Norwalk this weekend. I'm going to tag along and if there any interesting tidbits I will be sure to update on my short live from.

Billy, its hard to get anything by you....

Yup the cat is out of the bag, I was wondering who would be the first to spot the new ride. Dan will be in a COPO very soon. Look for the Dan to be running the 2014 COPO sporting the Peak colors at Indy.

I will get some more photos tomorrow of the COPO and also the combo he will be running.... if anyone cares to guess the new combo, please post.

Its there, its the next spot over in the garage to the left. Dan currently has six cars, They also have trick s10 pickup for local bracket racing. It would be nice to get a shot of them all, but he does have allot going on this weekend.

The COPO will be a 350 combo, here are a few shots.

Also, the graduation party starts at three, as you can see they are ready to go. Sal Biondo and family are also here and Sal wants to race me on the slide. Its way to high for me, I,m old with brittle bones and not to found of heights.

Lots of rigs here, and when the around 200 people get here, there won't be any room to park anything. Dan is such a great people person, I'm sure the mere thought of that many people does not bother him in the least.

I will be back later with more, and don't count on me doing the slide.

Kenny - Word has leaked out that you are working second shift as a Valet ! ! ! Nice way to finance your trip ..........Do a good job -- and make sure you get plenty of pics as we all know the 'A' listers will be there .

Well the party has started and Dan's house is now a parking lot. I think we need the Red Man to organize the parking, the lawn will never be the same. Most the family's are done for the night and the teens are starting to gear up, am sure it will be loud night.

Dan's in very good spirits, being a people person he lives for this kind of stuff. Me, well as you can see by the parking I will not be the valet for the next get together, it was pretty much the only reason I was invited. I have never been on anyone's A list.

Billy Leber did show up, he is an A lister but I missed getting a photo.

Tomorrow we are off to do some testing in the Nova and the COPO.

Party time is over and we headed to Empire Dragway in Leicerter New York to test the COPO. Its a nice track, IHRA used to have its National event here.

The photos show some of the track, its very large and can acomidate a NHRA size national event. It would be nice to see a division race here, I heard they have new owners.

Back to racing, Dan made only three passes, and was pleased. Unfortunately I am not at liberty to post the et's, but the COPO is very consistent.

My next post will be two in car camera videos, I'm editing them now and they will be up shortly.

The two in car cams show Dan getting use to his new ride.

The second video has a little vibration at the end caused by the camera touching the door panel.

Here is some more photos. Thomas Fletcher is S10 bracket truck and Timothy Fletcher in his Super Street Nova. I spotted Pete D'Agnolo in his Beautiful 79' orange Malibu bracket car. Pete competes in division 1 Super Stock and has one national win and the Northern Class Nationals win so far this year.

What class does the COPO run and will it get wrapped in the Peak color scheme....

Dan still had his EFI LT-1 at E-town a number of years ago and I struck up a conversation with him.....he was looking forward to getting away from the FI car and said he was building another 69 Camaro for Stock.....

Obviously something changed his mind about EFI and with the way they run it is not surprising.....

It will look good in Peak blue......in the winners pictures....

Its a 350 combo, I think Dan will be in b or c. It will be in the Peak colors. Consistency should not be an issue this time around.

Wheels look different from the COPOs,, these look more like Bogarts to me.

Another validation of my decision to park my car (71 429 Mach 1). This COPO along with the 2010 352 Mustang and the ridiculously fast 400 Pontiacs running in the low, low 10's no amount of money or work would ever make my barge competitive again. SCCA anyone?
