Indy! A/Stick and A/SA Challenge 2014 is on!
 

Well racers, it is on! Time to kick start the A/Stick and A/SA Challenge. If you recall last year, we had a great time! Kevin Helms came home with the goods for A/Stick and Leonard Mattingly took honors in A/SA!
Of course, with the hospitality of Jeff Teuton and his crew, we had a great party Friday night to honor the racers and thank all of the sponsors as well!

This is ad fun add on to a historic race because it is possible because of grass roots racers coming together! Thank you!

Once again, Ken Miele has been kind enough to support this effort. I could never get this done with out his help and classracer.com!

This year, for starters we have some of our most loyal supporters joining in and we are just getting started.

Cometic, PAC Racing Springs, Nitroplate, Calvert Racing, Fischer's Align a wheel, to name a few. Many of you have donated in the past and that is special. It makes a difference! The Class Winners of A/Stick and A/SA will have the kargest class win payout at Indy again!

Some update. Jeg's is the title sponsor and they are getting banners, nice G can wraps, and most of all, nice heavy liners for the three 55 gal cans filled with beer along with some beverages for the cans. This year I think I will have a seperate can for soft drinks and water, but not next to the beer. Mopar Business Link is helping with some pizza & stuff and trying to find some more.

Not many can throw a party like Jeff can! Last year, he had pizzas that were bigger than wagon wheels!

Now I will say that we came pretty close to running out of beer. Once again, we are taking beer donations! LOL!

Once again, Racer Lee Norton and racertees.com have come up with cool designs for the shirts. I will have a limited amount of these on hand at Indy. I typically sell out. If there is enough interest, I may do another run after Indy if I run out. Check these competitor shirts out!

I'm going to be running in A/sa at Indy. will there be enough shirts there where I could by one It would be nice to at least come back with a shirt for all the effort it took to make Indy. Bill

Getting ready for the awards presentations! I have my "Class, Couth and Culture Director" Southland Dodge shirt ready to go and Larry's "Riot Control" shirt ready!

I also have made the purchase of this year's Kentucky's finest bourbon for the winners of the A/S and the A/SA Challenge!

I will try and video what I can this year for the A/S and A/SA classes but don't put your cameras down as I will be trying to qualify our Chevy II stocker too!

I couldn't agree more, as that A/S Final between John Calvert and Jason McCormack (especially
the 33sec version with the kid and woman's voices in it), was awesome!!!!

Joe and Rob, I look forward to any and all coverage you two will offer, as I know it's going to be better than
ESPN's non-pro class coverage.

Another cool part of this is the grass roots racer support! A racer came by yesterday and handed me a $100.00 check from Dave Casey (Casey glass Service) for the A Stick class winner! Sorry Dave could not be here with his killer A Stick Vette, but thanks for the support!

Richard Rinke (COPO) A/Stick, is posting $250 to the winner of the A /Stick and A/SA Challenge this year!
The level of sportsman support for the Challenge is really what makes this a special race! Indy is a difficult race and everyone pushes their equipment to get the class win! It is nice to be able a gather so e extra support for this!

I spoke with Jeff Teuton and he has his professional Parlieu staff setting up for beer and pizza Friday night to celebrate with the racers! As always, Jeff puts that southern hospitality to the front!

I hope Robzneed4speed will post it soon too, however that 2010 race in my opinion will go down as the best A/S final of all time...it's better than Lay's potato chips, as every time I try to watch it once or twice, I find myself watching nearly 10 times in one computer session....the only way I would've liked it more, is if Jason's Mopar would've won the race, but non-the less that race was awesome!!!!
