Re: NHRA Factory Stock Showdown Rules
Sir the FS/B class that's over 430cid weigh 3500lbs correct?
|
Re: NHRA Factory Stock Showdown Rules
Is over bore included in the CID or just the factory CID?
|
Re: NHRA Factory Stock Showdown Rules
2011 Dodge V10 entries must weigh a minimum of 3,500 lbs.
|
Re: NHRA Factory Stock Showdown Rules
Yes, sorry! Didn't realize that didn 't paste.
The V10 is 3500. As far as the over bored motors, I cannot answer, only the NHRA tech department can. |
Re: NHRA Factory Stock Showdown Rules
This is the displacement before overbore.

Re: NHRA Factory Stock Showdown Rules
Who's the favorite to win the NA class? What about the blower class?

However, there are a LOT of really good cars that will be contenders: * NA - Connolly who was runner up last year, Hankinson in the Gray Motorsports COPO (you know it won't be slow), Allegrucci's V-10 will be really tough now that it's in with the NA cars...there's also Harrison's 426 Challenger and I'm guessing one of the Teuton Challengers will have a 426 in it. What about the still unseen Ford 429 CJs? * Blower - I think a lot of the CJs are pretty close in performance. Butner (Emmons now has this car, of course) and Skillman were the fastest last year, but then you have guys like Gary Richard and Candies who aren't very far behind. Bruno's COPO has been running very well, plus Porter in Jimmy Vasser's COPO who hammered the AA/SA record a few weeks back... |
Re: NHRA Factory Stock Showdown Rules
Can't wait for the show!
|
Re: NHRA Factory Stock Showdown Rules
As far as the blower cars...Alot will be shown at the Cobra Jet Shootout in Norwalk...stay tuned!
Word is over 40 CJs here. Will try to update if possible. As from previous events, cell service is tough at the track. Will do my best. |
Re: NHRA Factory Stock Showdown Rules
I may be one sided but I believe it's going to be a southern shoot out!
Candies in the blow class and Helms with a pretty Red car loaded with a 426! Get em Boyz!! |
Re: NHRA Factory Stock Showdown Rules
I'm looking forward to watching any of this that I hopefully will see on "You Tube" (I hope Robzneed4spd, will be there for the action from all of you guy's cars)!
I wish the 2015 Dodge Challenger "HELLCAT" was already out so one of the entries could be one of them....just curious who's going to run one of them in Stock/Super Stock? You Jeff? Candies? Keith Lynch? Kevin Helms? I wish I could say ME, but that's way out of my financial reach for now...but I would if I could, and there especially!!!! |
Re: NHRA Factory Stock Showdown Rules
I think the Prototype might be in Indy. New 426 and blown car. All this is rumor of course.
|
Re: NHRA Factory Stock Showdown Rules
I think Mopar should give one of them away as a door prize at the BBQ, lol.

Re: NHRA Factory Stock Showdown Rules
I actually went to the line and watched the FS shootout.. I kind of like it...its new and appealing to the fans and brings back the 3 factory cars into battling... but i do not like the fact they can go as fast as they want and not get hit with HP, but yet and still can be included in the qualifying ladder.
Are clutch cars not legal? i noticed next door to our pit, Fezell was putting an automatic in his car!! |
Re: NHRA Factory Stock Showdown Rules
For me, the Factory Showdown was the highlight of my Indy trip. I hope there are even more cars next year and the racing action is even closer. Great show!
|
Re: NHRA Factory Stock Showdown Rules
Seems some of the predictions in the NA class were a little off. Who woulda thunk it?
|
Re: NHRA Factory Stock Showdown Rules
Great win for you and Kevin, Jeff! Will you be in St. Louis by chance?
-Jeff Johnson |
Re: NHRA Factory Stock Showdown Rules
It looks like the "other" V10 may be the one to watch in the future. . Thanks Jeff for allowing me to drive such a great car.
|
Re: NHRA Factory Stock Showdown Rules
We plan on going to Shreveport and then Dallas National. After that Kevin is having Emily in October so that might end the year for both of us. I might go it alone in Oklahoma later, but nothing for sure yet. Stubbs, you did good. It was a good time and to have two cars in the final four feels pretty good. Probably spoiled some folks parties.
|
Re: NHRA Factory Stock Showdown Rules
Jeff, It was a pleasure to shake your hand in the lanes after your team beat the COPO Camaro. Thanks for the pizza and beer and the opportunity to "party" with all the great sportsman racers.
|
Re: NHRA Factory Stock Showdown Rules
It was a good Friday Night Party. We also fed Pro Mod and supplied several folks with beer when it was discovered Indy don't sell beer on Sunday. Really good time and I slept really well.

Re: NHRA Factory Stock Showdown Rules
