This is a very impressive car to say the least. Did you hear the man mention "Traction Control"? Is traction control legal in stock or Superstock? No huh...I didn't think it was. When I think of all the times I fried the tires and here comes a AAA/S ford that does not spin a tire and still runs 150 mph. Do you think Ford would cheat with traction control? Again no huh. They all have to run on 9" tires, the same as everyone else. The only difference is they are so much smarter and have a much better suspension...right?

Very cool and very impressive. But this type of stuff is not surprising from the guys at Chrysler and SRT. Every aspect of the Hellcat shouts that these guys "get it". The narrator and Engineer in this video, Jim Wilder is one of those guys that "gets it". Jim has a 65 Plymouth N/SS car that he ran thru the 90s into the early 2000s until his job and family priorities took over. Jim won plenty of big NMCA and other N/SS races and was voted to the Car Craft All-Stars team. Having worked in both the Chrysler and Ford Motorsports organizations it's interesting to note the number of people in key positions that have ever been involved in drag racing in general, and class racing in particular.

A bit too much negativity on here - too many haters of real American muscle and ingenuity so I took it down - you can look it up on You Tube "Cool Performance Apps of the '15 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat" or go to my Facebook - ron.durham.35

The Dodge hellcat has not been developed for drag racing hence the 707HP rating and it will not be in the guide - at least in any class that now exists.

the underground word is it has oiling issue's. charger cop cars are wiping
out camshaft's with 30k on them

Don't know about common cam or lifters, but it's not the same engine. The Hellcat Hemi is a supercharged 6.2 while I believe the cop car Chargers get a normally aspirated 5.7, not even the 6.4 SRT version!

Yes Myron, correct. I had the distinct pleasure of riding home in a Troy, Michigan Hemi Charger cruiser about a week ago (friend and I too drunk to drive). 5.7 naturally aspirated.

The V10 racing engine had a couple of issues but no cam bearing in an aluminum block - knock on wood we have not had a problem - not sure if MOPAR did this little trick on any others.

That's a shame, but if you read it they say it's wrote off...REALLY? Looks like he hit the tree at maybe 40-50mph. The fenders don't even look pushed back into the doors or the doors into the back of the hole. This looks like a "pushed the crumple zone in 6" or a foot".
This can be fixed.

In 30 years this will be the same story as the guy who bought a brand new hemi challenger in '70 and wrapped it around a tree. We really are in the "good old days".

They have sold 2 in the Mpls. for $20,000. over sticker. One dealer sold 2 for $10,000 over sticker. Sticker around $65,000 before dealer markup.

Well, the metro dealers ruined the PT Cruiser with such pricing, and the Hellcat will be the same. The guy who got our first is a fleet purchaser, already had a Challenger with a Whipple (900 @ rear wheels), and bought at Vette Z06 I think the same day.
