New Builds

Anyone putting together any new cars for the 2015 season ?

Re: New Builds

I believe that someone is planning on building a BOSS 429. I see that a Ross piston was approved the first part of November.

Building, but at the rate I'm going more like the 2017 season.
Oh, '67 Shelby.

Re: New Builds

I wouldn't say mine is new since I've been building it since September 14th 2012.

I do plan on having it together this season. Going to try my hardest to have it ready for the season opener in May.

Can I have the pink one?? (If it's a stick, of course.)

Jeff,I will take the pink one if its an automatic! Haha!

Re: New Builds

The pink one is mine. It will run the Race for the Cure for Breast Cancer. It's sorta a tribute to my wife who had her first surgery 40 years ago come March. And I am planning on ordering a pink fire suit for me (large sizes of course) and a matching jacket for my wife. Just not sure of the class. Working on a tie in with a regional cancer group, maybe a tie in with Jeg's foundation. Just something a little different. I can assure you I will be very cute and cuddley.

I have this one and I love it. Looks like they only have medium and large sizes now though. My super stocker will have lots of pink! Hope you all are doing well, Jeff!

Okay. Can I have the red one then? (Razorback red)

Congrats on your support of a great cause, but just as importantly, congrats on your wife being a survivor!

The very best of luck with the car; with a Holbrook supercharged 5.0, it should be fast!

Not exactly new, but I am putting my 64 Chevelle Wagon back together to run again in SS/MA.

Really excited about it! My wallet, not so much.....

Ok, yep I've been working on a C4 Corvette for Superstock. It will be a natural SS/J car, of course hoping it will run SS/I. I've not documented the build much, but I will say it has been a real challenge compared some of my previous builds, even FWD conversions. Hopefully get it done by the last of May. I built the L-98 and dynoed it at Jeff Taylor's shop. Lots to do yet, but I'll keep working forward.

Ernie , how did you get the 4 link to fit under that vette ? Are the 4 link bars real short , or did you have to move the drivers seat falward a bit ? Very cool car .

Love the "fish scales". Any lace on it as well? Very time consuming stuff and it looks awesome!

Not really new, changing my 1989 Mustang GT stick stocker into a 1993 Mustang Cobra R. A back injury @ work in June,2013, and a pulmonary embolism in December,2013 has slowed progress a bit, and finally back surgery in October 15,2014. Slowly moving forward.

JHeath 12-26-2014 10:12 PM

Re: New Builds

The black car is Jeff Swanson's 1993 Cobra stocker. Nick Heath did the creative photo shop paint rendering.
