Can't believe this is just now getting around. I would think P/S could use some good news.

Re: Drew in Pro/Stock
Yep. That team knows how to run fast.

Re: Drew in Pro/Stock
It was said on ESPN3 live that Drew was going to run prostock with Elite power. Also Mark Ingersol was going to team Elite also. That was 11-14.
But yeah kind of surprising no one was talking about it here that I noticed. |

Re: Drew in Pro/Stock
Thats great to see Drew go pro with the way he has been in Stock im sure a win in in Pro Stock will be soon
|
Re: Drew in Pro/Stock
Nice to see a new face in Pro Stock. But he is still going to play second fiddle to Erica, while spending top notch money. Let's see what happens when they have to race each other.

you should try Pro Stock Dan lol |
Re: Drew in Pro/Stock
Wow, must have been dozing when they announced Butner is going PS with the Summit bunch. Yet another good driver getting into the fray....perhaps PS has a future after all. Frankly, don't understand why more up and coming sportsman racers don't use PRO MOD as the next logical step up, much more return on investment.

Chips must be flying in the Westcott camp. Looking forward to see what Charlie and his dad come up with and I'm sure when it debuts it will be right.

Re: Drew in Pro/Stock
In my mind the natural progression under current structure is Stock->Super Stock->Comp->ProStock. They all have the same driver skill lineage.
ProMod is a good lead way into TopFuel Funny Car with driving characteristics IMO. Small Tire heads up->outlaw->ProMod. I think ProMod is a less expensive class and has less events. However they run a lot of their own events other places and the class is getting more expensive every year. I have a friend who runs the class and it's an exciting class IMO. Cost wise ProMod is "cheaper" by half a million per year. However they are faster and have way different driving skills required. |
