I know of another GTO being built and as Forrest Gump said "That's all I have to say about that."

It sucks that gets you horsepower at altitude. It was like 2700 ft, doesn't seem like air that should get you a .2 slower index, but that's the way the rules are.

Does anyone know the fastest an E car has gone? (Not FS cars obviously)

And as for who's the fastest, I'm partial to a certain 71 Camaro, but cooters GTO is bad fast.

Andrew, I would think if anybody has been faster than that 51 it wouldn't be much.

We may have an E/SA car this year. Unknown newcomer. More as it develops. You have been warned. Even Cooter don't know about this one.

How fast did your dads car go at E weight before he sold it? I thought he ran 40's? That's fastest I ever heard of an E car running. I'm sure your car is right there as well

I went a 10.51 driving his car at Bowling Green in May at around 2000'. That's the fastest it's been, lots of 50s but no 40s. It's absolutely capable in some good air. I think we could have got it there in bowling green if we had broken out the chiller and tightened the front end down a little bit. I'm sure Marvin will be out there next year running similar times! My car is very similar under the index, we usually run them the same way and qualified within a few hundredths of each other.
