Reactor Flexplate Beware of this manufacturer !!!!
Idk of how many times I've had to post of manufacturing companies that run a business this bad but i hope to just inform some before they make the same mistake i did. It was supposed to be a simple purchase of a basic Pontiac flexplate . It has now turned into a 4 month return of the product 4 times just to get the correct bolt pattern and hole size from a guy who apparently thinks I'm to perfect to ask for this to be right .
Please save yourself from dealing with this Olen character that runs this F up operation. |

ATI & TCI don't have them?

Re: Reactor Flexplate Beware of this manufacturer !!!!
The best place to get the correct Reactor flexplate is from Coan racing transmissions.

Reactor flexplates are Aluminum, I have had good luck for 10 years with them until
this past season and blew one in half @ 10k rpm. They should be changed very frequently. I went to a Meziere steel. |

Being they are Aluminum, they also help in the dampening of frequencies htroughout the RPM range. They work the best on high RPM engines such as 4 and 6 cylinder engines. Nevertheless, although a great product, the company has its issues with delivery and also their customer service is not the best. Therefore the reason why I recommend procuring the flexplate from Coan since most of the times he has them in stock. |

10,000 RPM shouldn't be a problem. :-)

Re: Reactor Flexplate Beware of this manufacturer !!!!
I've seen the results from one that came apart shortly after it had been recertified.
The allen bolts that retain the ring gear failed and the ring gear came apart at the butt weld slicing thru the headers and frame rails of a roadster like the were made of butter. Ive seen similar failures on steel wheels at the butt weld if it is not where an attaching weld is located ,but never with such devestating results. I would never use one on my cars. |
Re: Reactor Flexplate Beware of this manufacturer !!!!
As light as my steel TCI flex plate is, I just don't see a measurable gain from an aluminum version.

Re: Reactor Flexplate Beware of this manufacturer !!!!
I had no idea that Coan sells the Reactor, i was dealing direct and i must say that even when i sent my stock flexplate back with the first Reactor that was wrong and it came back to me still wrong im really concerned about using it period. Trying to communicate with this guy and him telling me he is sorry he is not as perfect as me i just can't see how people stay in business with customer service like that.
I had plans to help this guy try and sell a few Alum Pontiac flexplates to some other Pontiac racers and now I'm going to discourage Pontiac racers from buying anything from this Bozzo !!! i |
Re: Reactor Flexplate Beware of this manufacturer !!!!
Long story but I had a bad experience with them as well, cost me more time than money but I would not mess with them.

Update *
To this day i still have a flexplate that does not fit ! This man's name is Olan and he is very rehearsed in excuses and reasons why his Business practices suck. The third time we tried to get a flexplate that would fit i told him please just refund my money i will send your product back as i do not want to go through this anymore. He then tells me i will send you your money back and make you a flexplate that will work as he does not want a unhappy customer. I have not received a refund or a flexplate that will fit yet . It's been over 3 months. At Pomona we had a few racers approach and tell us their horror stories in dealing with this man. To this day i do not understand how people like this stay in Business. |
Re: Reactor Flexplate Beware of this manufacturer !!!!
