Let's not forget Division 6 Angela Bushmaker in her Dart.

I've *driven* Fisher's car, and even I couldn't tell you just how fast that thing could go on kill. Brutal car! It's comfortable, too. Drove it one year and finished 6th in the World in IHRA Super Stock. When you're towing, it will also remind you that it's on the trailer behind you as you approach the first stop sign.

Actually Angela drives a Valiant, but , yes the car can be very fast. If you want to through Div. 6 in the ring, how about Bill Edgeworth's Firebird?? That car can run many classes and has held records in at least 4 in the last few years.

I believe there many cars in Div. 6 that are capable of holding records or at least running very fast in their respective classes.

Bill Lynn and Dean Oliver are two of the fastest K/SA cars in the country. Always in the top 5 if not one and two.

There's a big ol' boy from up around the Bay Area, who set a few records and had a few # 1 Q's a few years back..He says he might make a comeback but I'll believe it when I see it.
Anybody that spots him...tell him he's pretty much forgotten... at this point.

Re: Fastest K/S K/SA

When I first started building my car, Scott Demmy and Bret Velde told me "Hey ya know Dave Lindsay has a couple Jerico's for sale" I said "I can't afford to go stick racing". Then I saw Lee Zane, as well as several other K auto cars going 1.1 under, along with Steve Sullivan going really fast with the automatic combo of my car. It wasn't long after I asked Scotty "do you have Dave's number handy?"...and the rest was history.

Bill Semprott is who has set the bar for several years in K/S.

Bill Sempsrott in his Chevy 2. Over in the Ford camp, the Summers/Turner 302 Mustangs from K/stick all the way down to O/stick.

Jody Noble has Bob Gipson's old 65 chevelle. Still in K stick and still fast. He doesn't get too much time to race in Canada

Bill Sempsrott in K/S

And he is retiring from his "real" job really soon. He will then be all out of excuses as to not taking the bird out of the trailer and airing up the tires!

He will never admit it but I'm quite sure that car can get into the low 11.30's in decent air, if not faster.

Before you get yourself in too deep remember that car went 11.50 in K on the brakes at Indy over 10 years ago.

I might have to help Mr Mulry get the thing out again. 11:30s in K I am pretty sure if its fresh he can bring it.

Thanks for the recognition of our efforts.........

The people who know, well they just know....

The people who don’t, well they just don't......

We all put a lot of garage work and testing to make that car work.....

I have been very lucky for last 40 years because that's how long I have been racing with the Aceves family (every one of them) as my partners....

We will be knocking the cobwebs off the Firebird and plan be racing again this year....

The last time Pete had the car out it ran mid 40's,1.47 60', the DA was around 1500 ft. with a slight crosswind. In kill air with the O wt.in and iced etc.,30's would not be out of the question. The fellow who bought it I see has qualified in the high 50's,on 2000 ft.+days.I don't know if they changed anything,or the shift points used. RIP Peter!.
