So who and where

will the next "Dime Rocket" come from and what will it be?

Re: So who and where

There are two complete 1978 305/145/180 engines for sale in the Montreal area someone should pick up and build a slow stocker. You run these in just about every thing GM made in 1978.

Maybe.. The 283 I'm working on looks more like a "quarter rocket",
and the other thing doesn't fit your allowed parameters ....

Tell us what's on your mind. Looking for somebody to run down your average?

Jeff, you should do a build thread on your car...wagons are awesome.

How's about a 1965 Rambler American S/W 290" 904 TF= SS/MA or SS GT/MA old man?

Re: So who and where

Ed, do you mean '66 or '67? 290 was not available in 65.

Re: So who and where

Not a Dime Rocket, but I am going to convert my red Formula over to run NMCA Chevrolet Performance Stock. This is the cheapest project I have had in a long while! I am thinking about doing a build thread if anyone wants to see it.

I think 67 was the 1st year it was available in a "full size" but I could be wrong.
66 ramblers still had torque tubes

Dwight, I think the 290 would be legal for SS/GT.

Seems like you should start a "Class Racer Builds" thread!

Jeff Stout 01-14-2015 06:03 PM

Re: So who and where

YOur right I didn't notice the other thread. All the future will be on the build thread. Hopefully some pics when I get going.
