x2. Funny Cars bodies haven't looked reasonably like a manufacturer's offering in ages. Pro Stockers aren't too far behind.

Exactly! A friend of mine told me just the other day that the body guys at Force were working on fusing a Camaro nose onto one of their existing bodies!

Sure Chevy will sell about as many Camaros because of this as Toyota sells based on their "Camry" body on other Funny Cars. Pitiful waste of $ that could be spent on something that would help their technology and consequently their customers.

Not a good thing for Spotsman Racers! The money will go to Force, he has a History I'm JFR I NEED ALL THE $$$$$$$$ you have! At His last Auto MFG he was getting 5 mil +. The big question of the day will he use his Boss 29er or will he use the tried and true Chrysler based HEMI or will Cheby design new valve covers? CHEBY will be pressed for DragRace $$$$s as they will have to step up the Vette LeMans program with FORDs entry in GTLM for 2016! Watch and see.

I could not care less who sponsors John Force. However as a taxpayer I would rather General motors pay back the 9.6 Billion that WE lost on the Obama stock bailout fiasco. After we are reimbursed then GM can sponsor Anything they prefer.

GM has to advertise to stay in competition with all of the other brands out there. This is a cost of business. It costs about the same to sponsor JFR as it does to run ads on the super bowl. The sponsorship is one way of advertising. GM would not be doing motorsports sponsorships if it did not pay off for them. I am sure Ford is taking the money that Force was getting and moving it to a different racing or sports sponsosrhip/ advertising venue. I am not sure if the bail out was a loan or just a hand out to keep GM afloat and keep all of their employees working. The tax payers will probably never see that money back directly.

I stopped caring about sponsors when the Army gave The Sarge and Daddy Don all that money. I can't believe anyone ever joined the Army because of that Carnival show. Giving that kid the Sarge name is a slap to all of us who had to work hard to try to make grade. Just My Opinion.

I read it on the Internet, so....
Before I lost what little was left of my mind, and started trying to race again, I used to drive to national events at Div 4 tracks to watch long time friend Mike Edwards race in Pro Stock. Always bought reserved seats. Hard to listen to some of the fans' conversations about top fuel & funny car racers with a straight face. Some really funny stuff from the "experts" up there. Lots of guys with inside info. LOL

Yup….. I was in a restaurant with a couple of guys in 1975 and they knew it all about their Chrysler Heros. So I let them carry on till after the guys at the next booth left, then I asked "do you know who they were ?" They said nope. It was Butch Leal, Roy Hill, Larry Huff and Gale Mortimer. Yup… Experts. :)
