Less than a month to go and ,as usual, no contingency postings. Makes it kind of hard to know what companies to deal with when getting ready for the new season.

I've been told not all the companies have returned their contracts yet.

It is really frustrating Tim. If a bunch of companies are bailing it would be nice to know more than a week in advance.

Are you sure? I was told that last year but they were on the contingency sheet for national events.

I guess the only way to verify is for the winner or runner up at Pomona and the first points races of the year to post pics of the contingency sheets they fill out.

Strange posted on their Facebook page that they were done with NHRA.

I was told by a CEO (requested I not use his name) of a very prominent company that they were pulling out because the return on their investment just isn't there anymore. He also said NHRA simply charges too much for them to be at the national events. A sign of the times I guess.

I also got wind of a company that has been a sponcer for a long time is not going with NHRA but might have their own program. In 1995 I had 60 contingency decals on my car. Now you're lucky to have 30.

Anything yet? I'm thinking about offering my own for the ladder software and the billet shift fingers. You would get it at the race if I am there or within a few days of its conclusion. I am trying to put something together.

Did anyone else notice that we are less than a week away from the start of the racing season and no sign of Sunoco Race Fuel on NHRA or IHRA contingency list. Did not see JEGS on the IHRA list either.

Late yesterday the NHRA National Contingency List was posted as a excel file but this morning that link is broken so don't know why they pulled it. Didn't have ATI on it of course but almost had the same list as prior years. Should have copied the file when I had the chance.

Interesting VP is listed and Sunoco is not in the 2015 Lucas contingency sponsors list

ATI is not there

Not sure the list is ever official

BTW - just got our final contingency check 4 months after the race in early October

The current person over seeing contingency at NHRA is Jennifer McKenna

Well I calculated what I could win @ Pomona. It's only $12,000 less than I got from winning Norwalk in 2008.

I wonder how many racers know that there was semi final contingency?At the Columbus Sportnats,I was the only racer that asked for the form. It took the NHRA crew there 45 minutes to come up with form after they initially told me they new nothing about it!!

Never heard of this...............................where is the list of who pay for semis? Gotta be one of the biggest secrets out there. I can see why, look at all the saved money. Is this just a national thing or do points races pay out also? Guess I have missed out on a few bucks over the past 30 years.

Charlie, go to NHRA Racer, then contingency section and select the National event, it pulls up an excel file of the contingency payouts, including the sponsors who pay for semis. Last year was the first year in recent past that it's been that way.
