Such a deal. No guarentee on order of parking. The parking on the shoulder of the road will still happen and the danger will still exist. This solved nothing to help the racer. Good lobbying by whoever.

Don, I am sorry but if you think dishing out this $$ for the privilege of stacking is a good deal then..well...you have been out in that Arizona sun entirely too long. M.J.

I think your percentages are backwards. 500 sportsman and only 15% will pay. The bombing of the gates will still exist. There is plenty of places to park with in a mile the night before.

MJ I have been in Arizona just right lol, If the track goes away then no one has to worry about the $200 to park their $500.000 rig for 10 days Or they could try and find a place to park at a higher cost in a Public place, There are none here in Arizona by the way. I guess they could park in The Desert lol

RV superstore half mile away will rent for 1 months rent. Less the 200.00 Love truck stop across freeway. Not many spots but overnight allowed. Casino across the street. Go play slots with your 200.00 and wait til am to cross street. Rawhide has daily shows and have overnight available.

If the track would go away and we had no place to race I dont think the lack of making 200 per racer will be the reason. The othe 51 weeks out of the year would the places I would look at why track closed.
Im bored with the super bowl. Only reason im on here typing. Nothing personal.

The last part of your statement is so true its scary. The tribes are getting even a $1 million at a time. Remember casinos are in business to make money and the white folks are paying.

Don,there is a race in Indiana on Labor Day weekend and racers arrive on Wednesday or Thursday and sit in a field for days ( a full week before racing starts ) and there is no fee.,and the track is NHRA owned..so....it must be the Indians. However, after you have donated to the Indian Parking Fund ( To be known as the IPF) you can take a short walk over to the Gila River Casino, and win some of your $$ back.....just sayin...M.J.

By the way are entered into the national event I did not see your entry . just kidding no offense

Looked into the situation plenty of times. The same problems keep coming up. Every once in awhile they will listen to the racers. Been down this road to many times. Not going there any more.

I suppose I can comment here.
I support the track when I can with bracket racing and T&T.

Independent Conservative math:

$150 x 100 = $15,000.

Security guards, 2 wks.
That would be 6 eight hour shifts
Let's pay them $25 per hour.
That's $6,000
Throw in another $1000 for the weekend
I know a couple of kids that will pick up the trash for two passes to the Nats.

The track is entitled to make money...No question about.

What am I missing, Mr K ?

I knew I forgot about K&K (Kennedy and Kennedy) Insurance.

Seems greed knows no bounds !
For decades, I have parked my big trailer there for weeks on end, free of charge, (not lately though)

Don, this particular company can afford to not make a profit on this issue, paid security or not. What has happened to good will for their customers !!
Really, did they run out room. LOL
Betch'a they saw $$$$ from the Pro teams and passed it down.

Just being clear. People that have opinions different then yours are whiners. That's not very open minded of you. I would have thought you would have helped racers with options on where to stay before event and not soap box on how this is the only way to pre park and the track needs to make money. Hope you meet your quota to get your free pre parking and wall spot in the pits. No I'm not registered to race but didn't think I had to, to give a opinion on this subject.

OK Mr. Kennedy, now this picture is becoming more clearer. You say that you are the messenger but a lil birdie just whispered in my ear that you are the fee collector, the IPF tax collector and that you don't pay the fee. Hmm?? Has it ever crossed your mind that NHRA may look at this Cash Cow $$ and start implementing this at other tracks ?? Thanks a lot , Don. M.J.
